Hey Andi, very good and well structured video on your part. I'm deeply sorry for what you're going through after such a long time. I'm a PFS sufferer myself for over 6 years so far. Only less than a month ago I found the doctor who prescribed this to me again and threw a letter about my condition in his postbox. Nothing rude, polite but straight forward because I knew it wasn't his intention to harm me. I'm saying this because you've mentioned you never told it to your doctor. And maybe it's useless, but I wanted to make peace with it. But everyone's different.

Try black seed oil. I measure it 0.5 ml with an insulin syringe and take it 2 times a day. After 2 days it gives me back 40% libido, then stops working... I take it for 2 weeks, then stop taking it and after a week 100% libido and sensations return for a few days. I have also suffered from citalopram. I am 20 months old... The last couple of months the physical symptoms such as deryalization, paraesthesia, numbness, imbalance, tinnitus, nausea have decreased to the point where I don't think about them every hour. But the emotions and libido have not returned...

I do have a lot of compassion. I cant really understand why drugs like finasteride and antidepressants cuas these conditions. It cant be just lowering DHT or increasing serotonin. Theres something in these drugs we dont know that is causing these effects. I took finasteride two years ago and im nearly fully recovered but these drugs are just horrific, need to be banned. if you guys want a more safer natural antidepressant go for L-theanine which doesnt have lofe ruining aide dffects like antidepressants do.

Hi im from scotland too I had very bad pfs from 2009 and spent months in psych wards on antidepressants and antipsychotics. I actually recovered largely from pfs and funnily enough vitamin d3 gelped a lit as did sunliht exposure and sunbeds in the winter I also recoveed using zinc and zinc magnseium. Stupidly i took seroquel again and crashed to worse than my inital pfs.

PSSD does need to be retitled it down plays the reality of condition and gives Drs and the authorities an easy condensed get out. Keep going mate many resonate with you. The more that speak out the better, it gets this and other similar conditions recognised. For what it's worth I believe every single word.

You know of any thriving and successful man that's on SSRIs? That doesn't exist. SSRIs, in the best case, take your livelyhood, your libido, your emotions and your passion. Your cognitive sharpness, your ability to perform in sports, your ability to thrive professionaly and personally. How are these drugs even legal? It's about time doctors are held responsible, they can't hide behind the pharmaceutical industry forever, no matter what the law says... They're supposed to be responsible people... These videos are making a difference, beleive me. Particulalrly as evidence of PSSD is starting to emerge.

Guys, watch "Medicating normal", on youtube, about veterans getting over-medicated and getting life-long issues. Eye opening. As far as I see it, the number 1 infamy of our times : overmedication, big pharma, PFS/PSSD, total irresponsability of doctors. I'm a veteran too (not from the US)

When you think of it this video has 3 months, as of writting. Think in a few years the critical mass of videos that'll pop up, hundreds, possibly thousands. Extremdly precise symptoms, always the same. Science now proved - needing confirmation, development, and a lot a vaseline so the refractory anus of our doctors can take it. They're the guilty ones to start with. They can't hide behind the pharmaceutical industry forever, no matter what the law says. They're supposed to be responsible people. ... In any case, I can relate 100% of that (and I'm post-ashwagandha), anhedonia was insane but settled down after just a few weeks/ months.

Extremely interesting interview, really. I'm not even sure what's been said here's been documented (even though it's notorious among sufferers) : the fact that you can be undefinately on a drug, stop it, start it again and trigger PSSD. It can also be seen through the notion of "having a history" of taking certain drugs. Rosie's been taking MANY SSRIs when you hear her : Zoloft for a year (was it?), then Prozac (or ther), then, stopped, then Lexapro, then stopped, then Cymbalta (or other). I mean, she's really been buying into anti-depressants... But more to the point, it's been documented black on white in Peleg 2021 ("Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD): Biological Plausibility, Symptoms, Diagnosis") : people with a history of having taken Finasteride in the past, then a decade later take an SSRI and develop PSSD. My take is it could be understood through epigenetics (note how my phrasing was cautious). Taking certain meds mess up with your epigenome, at molecular level. Once they've dysregulated receptors (GABA, AR, serotonergic or what will you) because of some feed-back adaptation mechanism gone wrong it can last forever. Epigenetics doesn't mean "it can be reversed". It may very well stay stuck there until we find something appropriate. I very much beleive in the gut-brain axis, but it's a very muc hit-or-miss kinda science. It's not invasive, hence it's interesting. Bring gut motility back.
