SAME! Why don't ob-gyns tell you this? My poor Mum had a pan-hysterectomy at age 31, and was told she was "infertile" from age 27; no one even told her to cut off the dairy and fat (she was vegetarian), and to eat more cruciferous and green leafy veggies.

My fiance is a physician assistant in family medicine. The nutrition training you get in PA and medical school seems pretty cursory to me. I'm shifting to a whole food plant-based diet, but my fiance (who is thin and athletic) is trying the ketogenic diet to lower their A1C.
@m0L3ify
@m0L3ify 3 жыл бұрын
@@lucindabreeding Well, if anecdotal evidence is of any value, my wife had Type 2 diabetes and her dietician recommended unlimited fats and proteins but only 60g carbs during meals and 30g carbs during snacks. We were primarily eating meat and dairy and tried keto to no avail. A year later she still had diabetes and was losing hope, so I had us switch to WFPB. Two days later she was off metformin and has had normal A1C ever since -- except for a brief time when we were eating coconut oil. Avoiding saturated fats seems to do the trick, and of course that means avoiding animal products since saturated fat is inherent in those.

Dairy is the kiss of death for Parkinson's patients like me. A lot of Parkinson's patients not only have severe mucus problems but " Drooling problems ". We need to avoid dairy because if you have too much mucus , you can also have swallowing problems along with this problem. Thanks to Dr. Barnard , I am trying extremely hard to be a VEGAN. Today, I also learned that the drug Robinul helps decrease mucus. This drug is used for a lot of people with sweating problems. On the positive side, I believe Robinul ( generic called GLYCOPYRROLATE Tab 1mg. can help all of us eliminate a problematic disorder of mucus ) With this drug I was told by a Pharmacist who also said to avoid dairy. By sheer accident, when I told my Ear, Nose and Throat specialist about my Mucus problem, he knew just what to give me. I am upset when people push cheese and other dairy as an answer to good health .It frustrates me to the ultimate. Sincerely, Pam Cota

June 8, 2022: I hope this message is seen, responded to and acted upon as soon as possible. I live in Topeka, KS and just a moment ago, on the evening news with Lester Holt, they featured a piece on how to reverse Type 2 diabetes:by eating eggs/meat, sighting sugar and carbs as the cause. I hope all you plant based doctors counter this by contacting and offering to go on the news to strike this garbage down. I don't understand why we aren't seeing any of you on these programs or why these news platforms aren't reaching out to you. Please consider countering and correcting this. How many people let their deaths of those they loved count for nothing and not change their diets so it is no longer their family legacy. I changed, I went vegan almost 10 years ago. I am now 67 and will be 68 in March. My sister died of breast cancer which metastasized to the bones and her brain. She died sat 64, she was 5 years older than me. My mother had her breast mastectomy due to breast cancer at age 72 and died 4 years later. They just loved their dairy. My mother-in-law fought many different cancers but succumbed to breast cancer about age 74. Our families miss our women, my husband also had prostate cancer and that was 5 years ago. I insisted he go vegan after his operation so that the cancer did not come back. 4 of the men he worked with at the high school in custodial ended up with prostate cancer. My husband went for the surgical option, as he was stage 4 cancer, the others went chemo and radiation. They died within 3 years. We cannot undo the past, we can decide to learn what we can do to be healthy so we are there to help our families.

Have you heard of the Hunza tribe? Raw dairy (raw milk, cheese, butter) makes up about 89% of their diet and they live over 100 years old with excellent health.

Pale Compass Not very long at all, they wouldn't have enough fat on their bodies to protect them from the cold weather of the mountains, or to sustain their energy levels.
@palecompass3598
@palecompass3598 6 жыл бұрын
That isn't true. The Hunza are mostly plant-based, actually. They eat a diet rich in veggies, fruit, beans, lentils and grains. The eat some flax, walnuts and apricot kernels. They make sprouted wheat bread. They eat some lean cuts of boiled meat (which keeps saturated fat intake low) and some fermented cheese and butter. They drink lots of glacier water and some tea. They make wine, but it's generally for medicinal use. They fast a few times a year, consume fewer calories than the average American but are much more active.
@timjacobs4417
@timjacobs4417 6 жыл бұрын
Pale Compass No, they aren't. They still got most of their fat and protein from the animal foods. The dairy is full of good saturated fats and cholesterol. If they didn't include animal foods they would die, due to lack of saturated fat, cholesterol, and protein and from the cold weather. Otherwise, they could simply just live on the plants, why did they require the animal foods to survive? None of them are vegans, that's for sure. And considering that our bodies are unable to digest most of the plant fiber in those plant foods, they are basically useless by themselves when it comes to fats and proteins.
@timjacobs4417
@timjacobs4417 6 жыл бұрын
Pale Compass And if the people today who get vaccine-induced diseases like autism, from the aluminum, mercury, and formaldehyde in them, would drink raw dairy their bodies wouldn't become sick, because raw dairy is one of the only foods that can neutralize polution in the body and protect, due to the high concentration of minerals and fats. That is why the government wants to keep raw dairy illegal in most of the U.S.

I see no linked studies. If you want to make scientific claims - claims about health, no less - you cannot expect to be taken seriously talking out of your butt like this. I'll humor you for a second: Let's say it's true, some tribe that happens to consume milk often is also relatively healthy. Why in the world would you, for a second, assume that it's the milk that's the main reason for their relative health, and not any of the other hundreds of factors in play? Anecdotal evidence is not legitimate, especially not when we have research directly showing the myriad negative health effects to people when you put them off and on dairy.

Truth Seeker Biochemical science. Mercury is proven to be one of the deadliest heavy metals for our bodies. We know that vaccines cause disease in children because there is a Vaccine Court where people go to get money for the damage to their children caused by vaccines. Fats like those in raw dairy protect our cells from mercury and other toxins, by protecting our cells and diluting and absorbing toxins into them so that the body can safely remove them. It isn't hard to fathom that fat can surround toxins and prevent them from causing damage in the body.
