I am a teaching my students via Distance Leaning, and my Seniors are looking at momentum next week! Unfortunately all my toys are locked up inside the school. This is just what I needed! Thank you so much from the USA!

Hi professor, Will you please tell me what happens to the mechanical energy of the system(the 2 carts), is it always conserved whether the collision is elastic or inelastic. I think the loss in KE during inelastic collisions is compensated by the gain in PE due to deformation, please tell if I am correct?

Well usually when impulsive force exists energy is not conserved but why is it conserved in elastic collisions

I'm interested in the subject of physics but this explanation is over my head. Can you recommend a good basic course for the newbie?

You need to watch my videos on work and energy first. This video assumes that knowledge. and if that’s still over your head then videos on motion. Check my website and start from the beginning.
