22:23 1) Valid 2) Not valid, as pseudo torque would be non zero 3) L(alpha) perpendicular to CI vector, and w^2(L) along IC vector. The I point would be actually moving in a circle with center as the other point of the rectangle formed by end points of rod and I. 24:17 1. 2) 2. 2) 3. 4) (I felt for the last one it was not possible to decide as Sphere pure rolling doesn't imply anything on the Hoop or disk pure rolling) 25:15 Slips at a height of 2/3 H, irrespective of length of rod Can you please check these sir jee? Thank you!
@mihirdeshpande43453 жыл бұрын
22:23 Pseudo torque would be zero, in fact , because accn of IAR points towards the COM of rod. You could easily prove it by writing acceleration constraints , i.e, y comp of accn of point sliding along floor = 0, and x component accn of point sliding along wall = 0

@@sirjamesjeans7676 did u try to prove the fact that accn of IAR points towards COM of rod?
@sirjamesjeans76763 жыл бұрын
@@mihirdeshpande4345 I feel there will indeed be a pseudo torque if you sit in frame of ICOR. Because ICOR has a acceleration of L(alpha) tangentially. But I have doubts on whether considering ICOR to be this is correct. Because then, the ICOR would have a L(w) velocity too, which doesn't make sense. So I feel this L(w) is just a rate of change of position of ICOR rather than velocity, and same way for acc, though not very sure. Wanted to confirm the same
@sirjamesjeans76763 жыл бұрын
@@mihirdeshpande4345 but this seems wrong to me, as if acc points only radially , that would mean no acc along the tangentisl direction, and they are moving in same speed Everytime in this frame, which doesn't seem to be the case

Since acceleration of A is downward as shown at 13:20 , the pseudo force of every dm element of the rod is (dm a) upward... This uniformly distributed pseudo force can be replaced with a single force of ma at centre of mass (basic concept of 'center of force' taught in rotation)
