Physics with Akash Goyal (PWAG) Sir in this question when you said that the bead b is performing circular motion so a = r alpha but we can also say that with respect to the hinge the position of bead b on the ring has r alpha in the x direction and to maintain the normal the bead must have r alpha in the same direction henceforth the bead has r alpha in the x direction

Sir Since it is given that friction is very small , so I applied energy conservation and from there I got w in terms of Theta and got alpha from wdw/dtheta , at the end I got alpha in terms of theta and applied limits on the expression 'theta tend to 0' and got acceleration √2 g/4 What is my mistake sir ?

@@sunritroykarmakar4406 since B can slide along the ring it should be at the lowest point such that there is no tangential force due to gravity. CM should be vertically below the hinge so that there is NO torque about hinge.

You are talking about contact forces... It has two components Normal and friction .... Friction is neglected here and hence only normal appears..
