Sir, why physiotherapy is contraindicated in QTF-4 (frequent cause is disc herniation) ,but we treat patients of PIVD by physiotherapy.
@PhysioClassroom4 жыл бұрын
Hello, In QTF 4 , the patient has developed red flag signs like myotomal weakness, detmatomal loss, bowel and bladder involvement which indicates significant compression of the cauda equina or the nerve roots and is considered as a medical emergency for immediate surgical decompression.
@AbdulRehmanSahibAR7 ай бұрын
Could you help me out? I wasn't able to find any reference for the QTF system you mentioned. All I found was a 0-6 grade system for Whiplash Associated Disorders.

If a patient have cervical as well as lumbar pivd then what should we do and what is the class of that patient
@krishnabhiram6 жыл бұрын
Praveen Kushwaha You have to classify him separately for cervical and lumbar problem. Eg. QTF2 CERVICAL AND QTF 3 LUMBAR
@krishnabhiram6 жыл бұрын
Praveen Kushwaha I think the answer will become evident once we have the treatment videos out.

Hello Sir, I hope you are doing good. I have one question for you, according to QTF 4 Physiotherapy Treatment is contraindicated, then how come and why many orthopedicians and neurologists are referring the patient to the Physiotherapist for pain management or they advise for Physiotherapy when the radiological reports clearly shows a case of PIVD. Many Physiotherapist are indulge in treating PIVD patients. Thank You
@PhysioClassroom3 жыл бұрын
Hello doctor, It seems from your query that you have concluded that PIVD is a contraindication to Physiotherapy. Well this is not at all the case. PIVD with radicular symptoms are an absolute indication for Physiotherapy treatment. In QTF 4 those low back patients are categorised who have hard signs of neurological involvement like hyperreflexia, myotome weakness of less than 3 grade, incontinence etc. And such QTF patients are an absolute contraindication to Physiotherapy treatment
