Forgot to include this in the video! You can skip the cutscenes that play after leaving any of the trials by flying or walking away, doing this makes watching the cutscenes completely optional

There is another useful shortcut for Water Trial, if you're able to minimize your game quickly. While the game is minimized, your skykid will not drown, and the water continues to rise and fall. I recommend using this exploit while your kid is on an ice wall that's not quite tall enough to be above the tide. The game also makes you sit when you minimize, and it takes a second or two to stand back up when you get back in, but you can skip that animation by being mid-air. So basically, get to a wall you can jump up onto, then as the water starts to rise jump (along the wall, so that you'll still land on it rather than on the ground) and then quickly minimize the game. Count about 6-7 seconds, then go back in. The water will have fallen and you'll have roughly four seconds to get to your next point. With this you can go pretty much straight to the crescent with the first candle cake, and then straight to the end! Keep in mind that the higher your ground, the more time you have above water. So if you're forced to stop at a low spot you will have to leave the game minimized longer and you will have less time to move before the water rises again when you go back in. Also remember that along the straight-line path there are fewer actual checkpoints, so making a mistake can set you back pretty far. But if you get it right, this allows you to finish the Water Trial in about 5 minutes. And most of that is just waiting for the water to fall again.

if youre on mobile for the fire trial, the skip for the 3rd section is really hard unless you use the chibi mask, you can flick onto the ledge and then walk up by going slightly to the right and up

Okay, first of all: amazing editing and voiceover! Thank you so much for all the effort you put into this and THANK YOU for actually using a voiceover instead of text! I really struggle absorbing the information of a video if I have to read the text and then rewind to actually watch the action. Secondly, thank you so much for this concise guide! I love that you shouted out your sources too! And thirdly, I would absolutely love a video with the friend shortcuts as well! :D i did the skip on earth trail for the first time and made it!! Im so happy now i dont look like a fool Update: I've just did the fire and the air trail with the advice. LET ME TELL YOU IVE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY TO DO TRAIL. FINISHED BOTH OF EM IN A FEW MINUTES OR LESS. I planned for someone to help me on fire trail as a light source but no one was online so i did it anyway AND BOY WAS I HAPPY I DID ❤❤ THANKS DUDE FOR HELPING ME SKIP (ive been playing sky for 3 years and this is the first time ive ever try skipping the trails)

I miss so much the old "instant finishing trial" bug that allowed you to use the reset wall barrier that teleported you right to the end of the trial...RIP old useful bug 😢

the music in the fire trial section made me zone out trying to figure out where i knew it from. and then the nasal trumpet line came in and i was like nvm i got it. i can see his little horns in my mind's eye. he's yelling at me. thanks for the video btw i hope to be able to put some of this into practice!

While the water trial might be uninteresting and low value for candles, I think it has some of the most interesting potential for understanding/utilizing the mechanics of movement in the game! Checkpoints 2 and 3 both have methods. 2 is very difficult so I'll just talk about checkpoint 3. As the water lowers, the edge of a ramp becomes visible (that the snow mound grew over top of) and if you time your jump to land on the very edge of that slope, you can super jump off of it and have time to reach the ramp across, the water will be on your heels. Further use of ledge jumping can skip waiting for the water to go back down and make it to the center mountain. For dedicated individuals who don't mind wasting time that is not worth it in the slightest. It's possible to do the last iceberg skip shown in the video without the use of the snowboard/climbing on the rock, but by continuing to run and time your jumps to get more super jumps off ice and ledges. Huge time sink to learn, but hey, I'm stupid. Some of these techniques can be applied in other trials

hey this is unrelated but you seem to be one of the few experienced PC players ive seen; could you maybe do like an advanced movement guide for pc? i was heartbroken when i found out spinning doesnt do anything; its just a fancy animation. i thought it made turns sharper because i see mobile players do it all the time, but on mobile its just because repeated swiping results in sharper turns, which isnt achievable on pc
