Some other good cocktails that use Green Chartreuse are: The Last Word, and The Massey Cocktail. I've also found it's pretty good adding about half an once to a Moscow Mule, but in a non-copper glass. I've been calling that a Moscow Verde. One more I've made is 1 oz Chartreuse, 1 oz gin, 3/4 oz triple sec, squeeze of lime, shake, add to glass with ice, top up with about 2 or so oz of Great Jamaican bitter lemon soda, mint sprig garnish. I call that The Wurdy-Gurdy.

But on a hot day in a city that has no air conditioning, especially now (pandemic and all ) when we can’t go anywhere that may have cool air, a frozen beverage can really make it for a person. Sweeter drinks can be saved by icy goodness. Of course proportions and such.... You are a gem! Thanks again for the good times and for entertaining us! Cheers! ⬛️

I still don't understand why this drink isn't overpowered by the chartreuse. It is somehow PERFECTLY balanced, and I love the history of it, where he kept adding some chartreuse it a rum-base, until he realized the rum just didn't need to stay. If I could recommend a blender for cocktails, I use the Magic Bullet single-serve blender, and it's just the right size for a drink, and to stay out of the way when not in use.

Steve I have a question: What spirits and liquors needs to be stored chilled always and which spirits don't have to? For example whiskey can be stored on a shelf in room temperature but when you make a whiskey sour you chill the spirit in the drink. Am I right if it doesn't matter if you're gonna chill the spirit in a drink anyway, but if you wanna serve shots for example you need the spirit chilled immediately?
@stevendelahuertamusic50224 жыл бұрын
All spirits are kept at room temperature for the most part. The chilling comes in during the preparation portion of your drink; whether it is in a cocktail or in a chilled shot
