@@RonaldinhoGauchoHM pleaseeee buy a real piano, not a keyboard. A real piano can also be an electrical (with e.g. weighted keys, I have one). You will regret buying a cheap keyboard ratger than a real piano.

Meaning Marcus was born with the capacity for it (like lots of people are) and he actualized it (through musical training), while most don't. It isn't luck.

True, I think having Perfect Pitch is like being able to visualize (with all colours right) the painting you want to do in your mind. If you don't know how to paint, visualizing the end result in your mind won't actually matter... But, if you can visualize the painting in your mind (in our case the song you wanna make) and also you know how to paint very well, you're going to be *unstoppable* (like this guy). That's why I want to maximize my music skills to take advantage of my Perfect Pitch 🔥🎶

Something beautiful you see happen that I absolutely love happens around the six minute mark. You see how excited he (the guest) is and how he’s recording, but in the pureness of his admiration you can see how his phone stops recording. Rather than take the minor few seconds to start another video and capture the whole encounter, he puts his phone down and enjoys the experience for himself. That is how you know he was truly in awe. Love watching your videos Marcus, your talent is absolute and how you use it is unique and nearly unanimously appreciated by most who come by it!

I just found this video but I feel very honored because at 5:48 when the dude asked Marcus to play his favorite he was playing Liszt Ferenc Un Sospiro. Liszt Ferenc was one of the most famous musician from my country (Hungary). That is unbelievable there are fans of Liszt in the BIG U.S. even though Hungary is a small poor country. I told my dad (he was a musician who was on Broadway and did a traveling woody guthrie show with his “band”) about Marcus and all the joy he brings to people and he loved it! He recently got diagnosed with cancer and has been pretty sad about life in general but seeing how excited he got about just the fact that Marcus makes people so happy with just his music really made me happy. Marcus, you help people by just being you and doing your magic on the piano! Much love!

My dad was also recently diagnosed with cancer. Luckily he just needs radiation for a few weeks and that will hopefully be ok, not sure how different your dad’s situation is, but just know you’re not alone, we will all make it through. Figuring out the chords, remembering the melody and making an arrangement on the fly requires much more skill than merely hearing the notes because you have perfect pitch. I understand that it's good advertising for non musicians but honestly doing this requires a lot of practice. And people with relative pitch can achieve similar results, although not as effortlessely.

@@agrougrougraouu na most people think people with perfect pitch can easily play songs by ear just cause they were born with it, but that's not true, I too have perfect pitch but all i can play on the fly is a one handed version of just the melody of a song, and not a complex arrangement, that requires years of practice on the instrument and a good knowledge of music theory.

I'm months late to this video, but I just had to say Benjamin Wallfisch is one of my favorite modern film composers. He's so damn underrated. And you played that "27 Years" track gorgeously. I mean it was just an ignorant statement. Just because it's played an a certain instrument, it doesn't mean it can't be played on others. Chord progressions are chord progressions no matter what instrument they're played on, and piano allows you to fairly easily add a melody on top of that if you know what you're doing. It's clear that Marcus has both the theory knowledge and skills to make that happen.
