You're a breath of fresh air. After 43 years of playing piano I am only now starting to learn blues/jazz piano and it is so different to what I am used to. It really helps have someone slow things down and explain how to construct the music without getting too technical...whilst enabling us to start doing it right away playing along. Thank you!

@@ChristianFuchsBlues you absolutely are! I'll definitely look at your other videos...I'm finding it hard to do one rhythm with my left hand whilst trying to improvise with my right...it's going to take time, but my aim is to be able to jam even just a little in C major by Christmas...with a cool drum backing and a whisky sour to my side...:)

Thanks for the upper piano. I've been doing these licks for years, but see on your demo piano where I've been kinda sloppy, and not as sure at times. Listening, looking, and understanding some basic theory, triads from the get go, but going back over things I've previously only played by ear, but now practicing within scales Blues scale, major scale, minor, and major pentatonic has given me much more confidence on not only the piano, but also guitar, harp, even blues ukelele!

My first-year piano teacher, in response to my complaint “Why must I keep doing the same things over and over all the time?” would say to me (Over and over, LOL) “Remember Philip, ‘Repetition is the essence of emphasis!’ Now, repeat after me, ‘Repetition is the essence of emphasis.’” And when I heard you referring to your own repetition of something in today’s lesson, I instantly thought of my kind but rather severe old piano teacher and wondered if you all went to the same “Piano teacher school??” LOL

Eine Frage. Ist es allgemein empfehlenswert die rechte Hand mit dem Fingersatz zu üben den du im Video spielst? Oder ist das deine eigene Angwohnheit. Vielen Dank für das tolle video ! Lg
@ChristianFuchsBlues3 жыл бұрын
Allgemein nein. :-)
