Listening to recordings the day after always shows some interesting things. I think I actually prefer the onboard sound of the Roland piano for this one. And I'm playing the last three measures with the wrong rhythm (but I think the right notes).

Cool I'm glad you like it! Villar has a pretty substantial body of work and I'm slowly making my way through it. You should do a guitar transcription for this one :) you can pick up where Llobet left off haha (he did transcriptions of two Villar pieces).

@@StevenWatsonMusic haha I know the feeling. I could try it too but it's been a couple of decades since I've even attempted a transcription:)

A most beautiful piece by a composer I had not heard of. I'll need to check out Villar's music. Well played but you need to take care to count out long notes in your head. It is a common pitfall to be impatient and leave them too soon (even great pianists are sometimes prone to that).

Thanks Chris! I appreciate that feedback and tip :) I'm most certainly not a great pianist so I need all the help I can get lol. I'm a bit more proud of the Berceuse No. 1 recording from this collection, can you critique that one? Villar is an interesting figure, quite well-known during his lifetime but almost completely forgotten and neglected years later.
