This is a tiny tribute to my brother George who wrote and performed the music used in this scene from a 16mm film, "Moving Out," I made in 1977-78 to document my move with friends from L.A. to San Francisco. That's George in the clip wearing the Froggy the Gremlin T-shirt.
One of the things lost in the move was my first piano, and old ESTEY upright that I had painted turquoise as a teenager. As shown, it suffered water damage and was infested with termites while stored in our leaky garage on Roscoe Blvd in Canoga Park. George, a professional piano technician and musician (he played banjo at various Skakey's for years!) came by to give it one last look before it went to the dump.
Goodbye brother and friend.
Also in this clip, Jo Ann McManus and Scott Barrus, sometimes known as the Barrymore Twins.
I'm not sure they'd like to admit it, but the only existing print of the film was scanned by my friends at Movette in San Francisco.
