Very rondo capprioso Mendelssohn, it's nice all the same. Great work 👍

What an excellent performance and composition! The themes are very clear, and I especially love 3:40 where you introduce absolutely gorgeous counterpoint! I can't believe you figured out how to use the peaceful pentatonic scale in this fiery composition. But as I listen to more of your piano music, I'm starting to understand your style. And while I hear influences such as Beethoven and Chopin in your works, you clearly have developed your own voice.

Thx Mike! Yeah I love the counterpoint there too. I am in the progress of finding my voice and style and maybe that's why I use more pentatonics! Maybe the scale means something idealistic to me with the absence of dissonance, but not as utopic as the whole tone scale. Henry

So many beautiful ideas in this! The F-minor eruption around m. 90 was a pleasant surprise, and the acoustically-judicious use of the entire pentatonic scale in the final chord is a very nice touch.

@@David_Goza Wow David you're here! Thx so much for listening! The F minor eruption is a surprise here, I use it because I use the same key as an eruption in the first movement's development as well, to link with Beethoven's Appassionata. And I love the pentatonics too! It's a surprise for me too, I don't know why the music ends up this way! Henry

@@LearnCompositionOnline Thank you! Now when I get to play piano I usually have my foot tap the pedal spontaneously and I will need to figure out how I use the pedal only after I get to play the piece! Henry

Normally I need the score to keep me entertained… your music just speaks from the audio Some Mild motivic quotes from the first mvmt if Im not mistaken Nice nocturne… is what I would have said if it were for that crazy recap, lol

@@crobatchoppurple8728 Thx! Indeed there are motives quoted from the 1st movement, most notably the falling fourth motive and the F minot eruption. Both movements' motives would be used again the 3rd movement. And the name.... I have never thought if the name other than calling it the 2nd movenent of the Sonata LoL! And is the recap really crazy? 😱😝 Henry
