This actual fire, i love it so much. The juxtaposition of pauses and slightly out of place runs is fantastic. It's super fun to listen to and just feels so right

Thank you! I really did compose this with fire and anger in my heart then, luckily it's expressed in the music and you can feel it!!! And I hope those pauses won't hurt you!! Henry

@@henryng0725 I think the pauses are perfect. They're just long enough to get the effect you want. And, let's be real, if WIM is commenting on your piece, 1) ignore it, because everything he says is BS and he's just a toxic hater of everyone but himself, and 2) it means that your composition has to be really good to get that amount of time devoted in to saying it's not. Keep up the good work, I really like hearing your compositions

This is very beautiful, and pianistically very well written. It reminded me a bit of Chopin's third Scherzo and Schubert's Wanderer Fantasie (also some of Mendelssohn's Fantasia) but there are also a lot of very original and interesting ideas! I love to see composers posting their music online for other musicians to listen and give feedback, it's such a wholesome and useful thing to do and I think a lot more people should do it and get the recognition they deserve. Good job!

Henry, this is an absolutely gorgeous piano sonata. I'm so impressed with your compositional prowess. We'll work on getting higher quality recordings, but this recording does get the point across, and also demonstrates your ability as a pianist / composer.

Wow, this is really a major step upward in sophistication from your (already very good) first and second sonatas! My only complaint is that I think it's a shame it wasn't recorded on professional equipment in a concert hall; the fortissimos sound like they're a little too much for the microphone at times! Also, I think that the somewhat 'dead' quality of the reverb makes the sudden stops a little less effective than they'd be in a good venue. Looking forward to hearing the other movements!
@henryng0725

Thx Steven! The first two sonatas were composed 8 years ago and I will be ashamed if this one is not better haha! And I know the recording is crappy since it's recorded by my phone 😝! 2nd movement has finished in a first draft form but I have yet to write the 3rd mov in order to focus writing the 2nd mov of Sextet.
