They sell food.very rare to find a pub that doesnt because that’s how they make money. It’s only pennies on pints. Mind it is a good pub and has managed to survive in a pretty poor location

Hey Terry, we were at the Lord Nelson all last week, and we enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast at the Lord Nelson. We missed you by two days, sadly, and you missed the Sunday roast by two days too, mate. We are back now in the Netherlands but we love going there. It is our favourite haunt when we are in Ipswich. I have a piano at home, and I looked at that piano and was tempted to have a tinkle but after listening to you, I am very glad I resisted the temptation. You are just too good!

I think I remember seeing that pub the last time I visited Ipswich. I will be going there again this year. Looking forward to hearing this. great ivory tinkling . The slang for a piano in Australia is goanna , which is a big lizard . Similar to slang over there . The top floor of buildings in that era are wider than the bottom because of a tax based on the area of the ground it took up.
