Awesome dude. Im saving up for over 3 years now, due corona and financial troubles. The summit is the one that rules them all, i have leaned towards the rev2, but the summit blows the filters away. Your demos are in my playlist to fall asleep to. I listen to it everyday. Once i have saved up the funds, i am def buying your superwave package. Amazing brassy beautiful keys and synths. Your voice is pretty funny too.keep on rocking those presets and demos dude.

@@xntricity6446 yeah, i am blown away by the huge huge spectrum of sounds and frequencies this thing can travel to.beautiful sounds, but the factory presets never do it for me ... Many times i was in tears, the effect of your first expensive polysynth is probably the pinnacle of synthesizer highs to be chased for the rest of your life :)

Ok love love the sounds, especially "I am grand piano." It's got a great low-fi feel. Only thing is, where do I add the expression pedal for sustain? I tried in the mod matrix, but all 16 slots are taken up. I used 16 and connected it to envelope release but it didn't sound quite right, possibly because I replaced what was there.

Summit is a wonderful synth but i feel a bit sad in a certain way that finally 40 years later we are still with hardware synths that reproduces 70/80s sounds again and again. I have the peak. I love it but it still quite oldschool ^^

I sometimes feel that way, too - but the future is happening on tablets and pc. I think of an analog/hybrid synth like of a violin or guitar - the principles have been laid down, why change them? :-)

I've bought an ASM Hydrasynth, so... that "old synth sounds" problem is solved to me. If you look closely behind Major OSC, you will see that he also has an hydrasynth. (Behind him, to his right below the Behringer deepmind 12) ; The Hydrasynth brings you to another galaxy. Check it on the hydrasynth videos, and tell me what you think !

Hello l I have little strange thing with summit, when I hit initialise patch I play fifth on c5 or c6 octave I hear some overtones like LFO I don't know this is normal or no ?

You can find useful info on novation support site. Register the product, download the components software, and that's the easy way to manage patches. There's tutorials online / KZbin.

Settings. Pick one of several pedal types: Sustain. 2 ports. Both configurable as sustain or expression depending on what you're using.

@@itsdrawkcab5899 you won't regret summit. I think summit is the best polysynth currently available overall. But thats all subjective of course. Summit is a keeper. There's more videos on major osc and also check out alphacodesynth. His stuff for summit is killer too.

It's only just occurred to me that you pronounce your channel name as "Major O-S-C" instead of as it reads in my head, "Major Oscillator". Makes me feel a little crazy. Amazing keys! I've just discovered Tears for Fears for myself, so quoting Broken/Head over Heels really hit different for me, lol. I might have to grab the pack just for these sounds...

No, you're correct. The original site was majoroscillator, and the osc pays homage to the oscar also with all caps. Lol. Majoroscillator.com still redirects also to majorosc. I figured I'd get a little more traffic with majorosc since people wouldn't have to spell oscillator

No unfortunately. but if someone wants to send a peak over to west Allis Wisconsin I'd be happy to design a pack lol. The sounds turned out that way because they're all multi's.

Late response, but the Summit is IMO quite a bit more. It has more controls on the face, which means you don't have to assign those parameters in the mod matrix and take up slots. But the doubled engine is extremely versatile. Layering two patches lets you create the kind of complex, nuanced patches like the grand piano he showcases, which honestly sounds a lot better than I was expecting... I have the Summit and my dabbling it creating realistic pianos didn't get even close to that far.

Like back in the 80ties, trying hard to make an analog or DX synth sound like a real piano, while dreaming of a sampler that you could not afford. This is an interesting effort that does not sound really bad - but today, while are so many good sounding workstations or stage pianos - even cheap ones - hang around, I ask... why? It still sounds so far away from the real deal like 35 years ago.
