PianoTeq 8.2 Soft Grand Piano

Here is a demo of a custom sound created in PIANOTEQ 8.2
Model Changes
the following things were changed in the Steinway D NY model:
hammer hardness
spectrum profiles
action parameters
velocity mapping
The sound color was modeled in the equalizer based on the analysed output of the Nord Soft Grand.
With the celeste pedal I can switch between the default soft setting and a slightly harder attack sound.
the used Pro-R2 reverb is an algorithmic model of the Large & Near IR model of the Bricasti M7.

Is that you playing? Quite impressive skills. I adore your tutorials and I admit that those made an impact on me buying the Pa5X, but personally I would love to know more about the person Qui Robinez. For instance, where did you get the passion from for becoming a musician and how on earth did you get the knowledge on handling the Pa5X so incredibly well? You must be a very patient and determined person, I guess.

Why does it feel a bit like a felt piano?

because I love the softer sound of felt pianos, so I've added a thin layer of felt (0.2) into the model of this piano, by pressing the second pedal from the right you remove that felt layer in this preset (celeste pedal).

@@monkeyscircus pianoteq is a modeled piano, so you can change anything you want in the piano. In this case you can add a felt layer by: - right click on the second pedal from the right - select the celeste pedal in the dropdown menu for that pedal - activate the reverse the celeste pedal checkbox on the screen so that it's always active - now you can set the position and the thickness of the felt layer you want to use with this model. I've used a thickness of 0.10 or 0.20

@@monkeyscircus there are a lot of features in pianoteq that you can use, this is only one of them, depending on your piano models there are more features available, but the felt feature is available for every model
