Hi Allysia! i want to say a huge thank-you too you! Your pedaling Tips helped so much. i also took a couple of weeks away from the piano which really helped. when i went back to pieces that were a little choppy in the past i was able to play them smoothly and with the correct pedal timing. You're the best :)

+wraith507 Don't you love it when that happens? I love magically getting better at the piano while taking a break. :) Thanks for the nice comment!

Fantastic lesson! Please do a video for 9/8 and 12/8 as well as 5/4 time signatures to prepare us for Chopin's and Debussy's works. Thank you for being here for us!

Fantastic video, I had a hard time learning the differences between the time signatures and the beats but you explained them very well. And the proposed examples are perfectly chosen!

So how do I play a group of notes? Ex: a group of 4 sixteenth notes in the first beat? Do I play all of them strong or strong week medium week?
@MindbodyMedic4 жыл бұрын
this came up when I googled 'Strong as I am rhythm' [by prime movers]. its like there are two time signatures playing simultaneously

Thank you so much, where were you these many days I understood very clearly. One question for you do we need to buy any copy rights to demonstrate those songs ? please explain.

Hi does strong and weak beats apply much to piano? In moonlight sonata 1st movement I don't see much difference in the beat
@GayGIJoefan19764 жыл бұрын
I am lots of clueless when it comes to music is it just a generalization to say that the down beat is the strongest note? What if you wanted another note to be?
@tommcquaide64568 жыл бұрын
Would this be a reason why some pieces don't start with a full measure at the very beginning? In other words, so that the downbeat is not on the first beat, but on the beat that should be "strong", for example Beethoven's Fur Elise.
@PianotvNet8 жыл бұрын
+Tom McQuaide Yep! When a song starts mid-measure we call it an upbeat for that reason. It's also sometimes called a "pickup measure".

Good video. However, not to be rude but the pronunciation of "Wagmer" made me slightly cringe.
@PianotvNet8 жыл бұрын
+Tommat194 Just listened to the pronunciation, my bad! Thanks for pointing this out!
