The kid isn't literally attacked by the earlking, he has fallen illl and is having feverdreams. The earlking serves as a methaphore for his imminent death. The moment that the earlking touches him is the moment he succumes to his illness. Also, the father is aware that his son is having feverdreams, and is very disturbed by them.

Due to this video i also understood finally what is the exact time signature in the Schubert Gb major Impromtu because in my sheet music there are two C with line accrossed(two c with one line through on each other i don't how should i write down this in english)so i wasn't exactly sure if it's 2/2 or 4/2, you are literally the only one who could make this clear for me here in youtube so thank you very much😅

If you mean d957 which i think you do, i wouldnt include that on the toplist, bestknown to the general public but certainly not his best work. If you mean d889 i'd say that makes more sense. I wouldnt include ave marian for same reason. But erlkonig is proper.

I don’t get this thing about Americans calling everything a song. A song is something you sing. A Lied is a song but a symphony is not a song!
@nadiaboulanger93234 жыл бұрын
She's Canadian. Just sayin' .
@antwerpsmerle14043 жыл бұрын
It’s not Americans, it’s the malign hand of iTunes. In the words of Sellar and Yeatman, “evry fule no“ that music is solely comprised of songs, and that all you need to know about a song is its title and the performer. What, you want to know about composers, soloists, conductors, orchestras? And you’re telling me that some songs are really several songs bundled up into something you call a symphony or a sonata? What sort of a nerdy detail freak are you? 😛
@steveeliscu12542 жыл бұрын
No singer? Can't be a song. (Although the Mendelssohns did write "songs without words", which are simple pieces (PIECES!) that sound like they SHOULD be sung.)
