Wow! Great lesson! So many questions answered, plus a bunch of new stuff I had never heard of, i.e., the Alberti Bass, the E flat scale, or how to correctly play a trill. And I’ll have to order that Czerny book, too. Thank you so much!

Hey, instead of going downwards on a keyboard to figure out which key has 3 flats, you can just cover the last flat on the key signature. So you cover the Ab, and you look at the previous note, which is an Eb, so yeah you figured out the key signature far more easily :)

The problem with the "be patient if you are at a higher level, I'll get there eventually" is that we should be progressing meantime so when you'll get there, we will be even better! Not to complain thought. There's a whole bunch of your other videos that are very interesting for any level piano player. :)

Mozart used Alberti bass patterns often. Such a contrast to his melody lines lol

5:58 wait.. Isn't that a D?
@oddhood10596 жыл бұрын
Yes you're not totally wrong, the note is a D but the chord she showed is a B flat major reversed with D as a bass : that's why she wrote Bb :)
@jimbo38472 жыл бұрын
@@oddhood1059 to add to that. You can notate the chord as Bb/D to indicate that is is played in the second inversion with D in the bass.

Why is it bad to use thumb and pinky on black keys?
@Thebadcontroller7 жыл бұрын
Try it and see for yourself
@samuelz.15727 жыл бұрын
Wenneguen because you don't want to use your shortest fingers in the black keys (it's harder to reach them), I mean there are exceptions but that's the rule for scales :)

chopin studies are better in music and challenge....czerny is boring ...op 25 n 2 is good play in low and fast tempo
@Alix777.7 жыл бұрын
But these chopin studies are much more demanding...
@pablokloker1437 жыл бұрын
I know ... but little by little you can play it, you do not have to be afraid .... it's just my idea of how I study .... regards

I know: "czerny is very very important for the thecnic" but i dont like the melody of czerny´s, i play every day but i dont like czerny :(
@Alix777.7 жыл бұрын
Czerny had composed beautiful chamber music works, but they are unknown. (duos, trios etc.) If you want you can try Brahms exercices, they are beautiful (sometimes)
