I was at the san antonio rammstein show a few weeks ago and the two pianists from France that were on the tour with them were playing their piano versions for the preshow. I stood there watching the sunset over the big buildings in san antonio while I heard them play through the arena doorway behind me. It was a peaceful thing, and reminded me of my mom who played piano all the time, she passed 3 years ago of cancer. And this trip to see rammstein live was part of my grief journey. I went back to watch those pianists and i was so overcome with emotion that i started crying like a baby , and i didnt give a damn who saw. Folks that like rammstein and those many similar genres are very understanding of music and how it moves people. I've never met an asshole at a metal concert. I'm so glad I got to go and I'm planning on seeing them more than once next year.
