Oh I remember watching Pia 13 years ago on this show. Steven Tyler was the reason I watched this show back then. He's crazy. She was fantastic on this Ike and Tina Turner classic! She did kill it. Unfortunately she didn't go to the top, but boy can she sing.

I was shocked that she was eliminated that quickly and that too after this performance. My favorite that season was Scotty who won, but Pia was on top on my list of favs too. Too bad the judges used their safe so early on Casey. She should have been the actual contestant they should have used their safe on.

Yeah agreed. I mean I loved Casey too because he was unique and he shouldn't have been in that bottom 3 in the first place even the judges was pissed. If he wasn't in the bottom they would have saved Pia for sure. Since he was in the bottom 3 that time I would have eliminated him just in case if Pia landed there. She should have been at least fourth place or third place as I loved Lauren and Haley as well.

At that time, I couldn't get her elimination. But now, when looking back at the top 9, I find the other contestants were uniquely interesting; some of them were really entertaining. Now I can enjoy Paul McDonald in addition to Casey Abrams. Maybe I will give Jacob Lusk's place to her, although I like his rendition of "Man In The Mirror" by Michael Jackson.

Which I think was the reason why Pia got eliminated. They asked for a performance in which Pia will command the stage, show her dance moves, since she's been singing ballads from week after week, and yet she's just walking from one place to another 😅

its really tough to do a cover of someone who is so special as Tina Turner was. No one will ever compare IMHO. This is really well done and beats the celine dion letterman version IMHO. Tinas Phil Specter version was unforgettable though.

Probably, because I didn't know this song then, unlike the Elton John's song she covered at previous round. Now, I got an idea. Seeing that Celine Dion had covered this song too, while Rimar is a fan of Celine, I want Rimar cover this upbeat song at Indo Idol's finale. Because, as far as I know, she had never sung an upbeat English song at that contest.

Unfortunately she got voted off afterwards. Its a good idea if Rimar got a chance to sing english upbeat song like this one in finale. She can prove to anyone that she can sing upbeat while dancing around. It'd be interesting to see reaction from viewers & judges for that perfomance

Cocky was the wrong word, sometimes you’ll see her hands tremble holding the mic, although that might also be because she was holding it too tight, her emotions out of control. Her talent was just unrefined at that time, and she needed more training to control it. But she surely had the talent. But the Pia Toscano of today is like polished gold, a sparkling diamond.
