This riveting piece was performed in 2016 at the Poets in Autumn Tour. It metaphorically explores the idea of what happens when a sinner is convicted.

I love it!! I love divine balance. God is merciful and gracious, but we don't continue in sin that grace may abound. We can't use God's love to excuse sin. We ought to LOVE Him enough to want to live right, but we need His help!

I love the way they showed us "faith without works is dead" is weaponised by both (wrong) sides of the argument. The combination of both sides of the debate in relation to this is the true meaning of the verse and iit's intended impact

The prosecutor (Jackie) stands for the law and legalism. The defence stands for the watered down message of grace we hear these days from many pulpits. The prosecutor, complete with all her facts and hard evidence confronts and accuses the guy of all kinds of sins. The defence on the other hand makes excuses for his sins and sinful lifestyle by saying it doesn't matter. They get into an argument. The judge gets angry and sends them away for not being 100% honest with the accused. Legalism preaches one part of the gospel which is that sinners are doomed to die in hell without any mercy or redemption. Usually, legalistic people are hypocrites only seeing the sin of others without confronting the sin in their own lives. The other lawyer on the other hand preaches an 'it doesn't matter' grace message that says once you are saved, you are on your way to Heaven no matter how you live. It doesn't challenge the Christian to change. But the judge steps in and sets the record straight. God is a hold and righteous judge who will not Behold or stand for sin. And yet, He took on our humanity and dies in our place in order to redeem us because the punishment for sin is death!

@@akekestory493 Devon and Meagan Franklin were at the Potter's house in One LA and a lady in the audience called Meagan out for her previous choice of attire during the 2013 BET awards saying to her 'so we gon' cover up'. If you search KZbin you will find it . Anyway following that, Devon said 'oh no we ain't doing that' and the infamous words 'she's going to wear what she wants to wear in the name of Jesus' smh. This all happened in church with the senior pastor present and honestly I don't fully agree with the lady's choice of reprimand (I really do think Christians should be sensitive and call out the truth in mercy and love and not always in public spaces) but the words that followed in response was totally out of line. Hope that makes sense when you hear how they incorporated Devon's response in this piece.

Wow this speaks volumes. Biblical truth in an undiscerning society that seeks validation for our sin isn’t an easy thing to pull off. I even appreciated the jab at Christian celebrities who use the Lord to validate their own desires. I’m not God so my credit doesn’t count but I must say Well Done!
