And the tail wouldn't have likely helped much because transforming could've wound up drawing too much attention. Not to mention then having to deal with the Ginyu Force on his own, and then Frieza.

With no lizard, he mops the floor with the Nameks, but can't do much with Nail (needs a lucky disc if not transforming like he should **though the nerfed Oozaru might still not be enough**). To do anything in a case with Frieza...he has no real chance of getting ahold of the right Namek (Dende, for instance) for exploiting heals or translating his wish, so the whole affair is pointless. Really, he needs to kill everyone except Piccolo, keep him alive (and unable to act), hunt the balls and get his wish on Earth for the best shot at total victory. A lucky ki disc could still take Frieza frankly, but that's just asking way too much. >drawing too much attention On a mostly empty world (only around 100 Nameks on the whole thing at the start of the slaughter) post-scouter destruction? >deal with Ginyu Depends. If he destroys the ship before a call can go out, they can't be contacted to back-up the 5cm lizard, but if the space slum lord feels cornered he might just do his usual sore loser routine (blow up the planet **copying the one he was invented to job in place of and perma-die for**). If the call goes out, there isn't much he can do in a scenario where he can't even hide his ki (save go off world and blow it up himself to wash his hands of the whole affair **leaving only papa's princess still alive**). NOTE: With Super considered, other options open up. If he can investigate properly, he could find out from the Heeters about Granola's friend (leading to Toronbo-sama giving an easy out **don't recall that requiring special words, but I would have to check again**). Zalama has the reverse words gimmick (language of the gods) aside from being huge objects across two universes. Pretty well out of the question.

Basically just assuming that all the events played out similarly, except that Vegeta was weaker. Either way, I don't imagine Vegeta getting his wish. Either he would've been unprepared for dealing with Frieza's forces, or he would've been unable to defeat Nail. Heck, I'm pretty sure even canonically, Nail was stronger than Vegeta prior to the beating he took from Recoome, so Vegeta with his power level from Earth wouldn't have really stood any chance there at all if Frieza weren't involved on Namek, and Vegeta would therefore not really get any opportunities to grow stronger prior to arriving at Guru's. Although I have no input on those details involving Super, since I've been actively avoiding information from the manga as best I can, because I'd rather wait for if the anime continues. So I don't know anything about Granola, nor have I even heard those other names.

With that entail, it is another story. Would still need to overcome Nail, but if any of them knew about Nail's power, he might know better than to take him lightly. Hell, if we're going all-in on this sort of writing, he need only realize he can self-harm (as that WORKS in canon, but nobody abused it as everyone was ignorant) and recover from near death until strong enough to make that happen. Just needs to retreat, steal a ship with a healing tank and return. No reason to just sty there. Amp and wipe out the only fighter of consequence before hunting the balls and making the wish. Hell, working with Super, there is a guy that has all sorts of answers. If he's investigating rumors (this would include strange abilities on Yardrat, but then he would encounter the Ginyu **also, there is no chance they train him nor would he accept if they offered**), he could find out the dude likes kisses. Get some gals enlisted for the task, get his answers and work with that knowledge (early Vegeta isn't so opposed to using whatever means as his reborn self). Then again, this leads back into potentially asking if there are better options out there. Can get immortality using one wish (then search himself for what the other two should be including just wishing the other balls to his location here since **still not sure what the last ought to be**) and wish himself the strongest mortal with a different set.
