Pichu Uthrow Thunder in Ultimate

This is pretty much the same as mewtwo's kill throw but it works 50% later and requires nearly frame perfect inputs and incredible reaction time

This video is helpful but I feel that the instructions are slightly misleading. You do not press jump and special at the same time. You press jump then immediately press special. You have to press special within the first few frames of jump but it’s definitely not at the exact same time

Captain L are you aware there is a short hop variant of up throw thunder that works at even lower percents? Thought id mention it because i saw bowser at 200% and thought does it work that long. Love your vids btw. Hope you see this have a good day.

I have to ask will this work if they do not DI and just go straight up? Or will you do just a regular thunder at that point? I remember in Smash 4 if your timing was tight enough you could simultaniously cover the DI of a direction and no DI on some characters

im really curious about something , you mentioned you need to make sure to return the control stick to neutral position before doing the diagonal down b for the reversed thunder... I've been doing it all this time without ever returning my stick to neutral. I just dash or run in a direction , then immediatly push the stick diagonally down and back and press jump and B , I use just about the same timing as I did in smash 4 and it seems to work fine everytime. Does returning the stick to neutral helps for making sure this combo works ? or is it just how you do your thunder ? im a litle bit confused as to why returning it to neutral is important if its still working when I dont do that ?

I find it more consistent to do it like that, I haven't looked at it frame by frame to see if it's really important or just something that subconsciously helps me time it. If it works without that for you then that's great!

what i do is have another controller and put a rubber band holding the stick to one side and have it on control im pretty sure how he is doing it is the training mode mod thing

reading works pretty well since people are inherently predictable (most DI towards center stage) but if done on reaction it should work 100% of the time
