There were actual distributions of Arceus in Gen 4, and that cutscene could be seen legitimately. What wasn't released was the Azura Flute, the event item that allows you to encounter Arceus above Spear Pillar in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.

Terrible takes honestly. Its normal type cuz its the “father” of all pokemon. Ofc its going to be normal type being the first of its kind. The creator. The first myth. The god. If its the one who rules why would it be any other type???? If its fire than wouldnt it be the god of fire. If its water then wouldnt it be the god of water. Its nromal cuz its the god of everything. Its also cuz it can change its type at will. Also its only its base form. Its said to have a form utilizing all the plates. The plates are its power stripped of it.

That’s not a bad argument, but I wouldn’t consider Arceus “normal”. Normal would mean that he’s completely standard when compared to all other Pokémon, but with his ability to change his type and his move that’s super effective against everything, and also that he’s the creator of everything, I feel like he just can’t be considered normal. And also the fact that he’s weak to fighting, being a normal type. Like a swift kick could seriously hurt him, and he doesn’t deserve that
