Wow. Finally. Somebody demos this rig like it should be ... No blowing out the amp ... just sweet clean, clear tone where you can hear what the guitar sounds like and what the amp was originally made for. Sweet.

Such a beautiful guitar in wonderful condition, sounding as fabulous as it did back in the 60's and played exquisitely by James - perfection !

Back in 65 I talked to Keith Richards in New Haven Conn.And again years later at Tods Place in New Haven.He told me that this and the Tele were his favorite guitars.

Would be cool to see him whip a Casino out. I don;t think I've seen him play one anytime recently.

That was fun! I’ve got the Princeton Reverb, and I want the Casino! I currently have an Epiphone Riviera P93, which is close. But somehow it’s just not doing it for me. I took the photos of it last night and its going on the market today. Casino, baby! 😁

I have a feeling this guitar is warmer than what we're hearing since the SM7b (bright mic) is pointed at the center of the cone (brightest area) on a princeton (bright amp).

Those pickups are wired out-of-phase in the middle position. Very cool.

Those 90s are so hot, I almost thought at one point that I was hearing a Strat set to 2nd position.
@ConnorOBrien986 жыл бұрын
Definitely sounds like that middle position was wired out of phase. That's sounds distinct from most other casinos in that position.

I'm pleased that you played the Casino clean, so we could hear the purity of its tone. Where's the epsilon logo on the pickguard? Had they discontinued that for 1967? Thanks for a fine video.

Man if I wasn’t 3500 miles away I would get that amp. It’s the same cost as a new one in Canada

$3895??? No way man. I can walk into Long and McQuade right now and buy one for $700-$800.

Lucky enough to have snagged one of these although I seldom play electric...I should pass it along. Nice example of a Casino and great video Emerald.....fyi....those tone/volume knobs are not original (they should be black in 1967). I'm not trying to nit-pick...heck mine is missing tremolo arm and pick guard.....just sayin'.

Just leave the light on the guitar so we can see the details. Function over faux-artsy aesthetics, please.

wow. talk for so long about the guitar and so short about the amp. i am thinking at least 50% the tone is from the amp (minus the player).
