I've got a '68 Pro Reverb which is Silverface with Blackface circuit during transition period. I bought it around 1974 and have gigged with it for decades. It is absolutely an awesome amp that I will never part with.

Thanks Trevor, I could listen to that all day! I think that's one of the sweetest combinations I have ever heard. Oh and your playing always stellar! Thanks man take care.

It's my favorite Fender amp. I have a '66.

One of the "Better" amp combos you have let us hear. Clean but with a nice zingy twang, the Reverb shines through, not too over the top. Thankyou.

I've got a '68 Pro Reverb with the drip edge (or whatever it's called). It's been in storage for more than ten years, sad to say. As I recall, if I ever turned it up past 2, the whole apartment would shake, so I don't know how it must have sounded in the shop, turned up to 7 or 8, as shown in the video. By the way, Trevor, your mustache is looking great! And thanks for the tip on the flat-wounds. I'll have to go out and get a set (if this lockdown ever ends ...).

Because it wasn't. The close ups were of the amp off. No cords plugged in the input jacks.

I have one of these amazing amp, mines loaded with hellatone a25 avatar speakers . (Basically worn in Celestion blues) now I need a little Princeton reverb for my bedroom ;)

Hey well done Trevor, you play great and that's a killer tone out of that combo. Bought a 59 Bassman from you guys some years ago and I think we spoke over the phone. I've heard people refer to the BF Pro Reverb as the "gutless twin", but that's a very fine sound you're pulling out of that there.

Great sounding Pro and fantastic playing! I have a 67 Vibrolux Reverb, but If I could I would trade it for a Pro. More headroom and the 12's give it a more three dimensional sound. I don't like the early breakup of a Vibrolux, but I totally get that some do.

Which flat wounds brand & gauge do you recommend for a tele? Or which one have you used in this video? Thx ;)

Nice sound. If you are doing an amp review, it is nice to say what you are feeding into it. Guitar and any pedals, or no pedals.

What's the difference between the 67 & the 69? I just saw a 69 but it was a Blue drip face. Not all 100%. One speaker replaced a 2 minor replacements $1399

I always wanted a Vintage twin but I thought a Twin was to much amp with 4 6L6 Tubes .Seems like a Vintage Pro Reverb would be my Answer
@smokepeddler4 жыл бұрын
Yes... The pro reverb is actually nicknamed " the mini twin"
@benjaminfowler45133 жыл бұрын
So is this similar to a super reverb then if it's similar to the vibrolux? I thought the super and vibrolux shared the same circuit

What should these go for on Craigslist? Are they worth more than a Twin of the same era?
@smokepeddler4 жыл бұрын
I have a 66 Pro Reverb. "The mini twin" The original speakers do not like to be pushed. CTS, Jensens ,Utah ECT... The amp in general does not like to be pushed past 5.

I just picked up a ‘67 and that thing rips when it’s cranked. Especially with a Tubescreamer

Not gonna show what the trem sounds like??

I’ve got a 67 that belonged to jimmy Vivino of Conan O’Brian. I shaped the trem and reverb wet signals a bit and now it’s perfect. No more metallic reverb tone. It’s more roomy and atmospheric.

I saw that amp for sale on reverb I think? Nice buy.
@luthiervandros4 жыл бұрын
nikonmikon that’s the one. It just had a couple of broken carbon comp resistors holding it back.

@@luthiervandros do you remember which ones by chance? what was wrong?
@luthiervandros4 жыл бұрын
nikonmikon one of the input jack and plate resistors was cracked in half. Pretty common on these old birds.
