"Pick of the Day" - 2007 Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton Signature

We've got another wonderful acoustic for you all today, a 2007 Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton Signature! This guitar is in fantastic condition with only a few minor but expected bits of wear. It features a classic 000 body, Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back/sides with an unbound Ebony fretboard. Alongside a number of other beautiful vintage appointments such as a herringbone binding, open back tuners, and a modified v-shape neck! A wonderful and modest signature model with a fantastic K&K internal pickup!

I got my hands on a 1996 first year model of this guitar from my pops who bought it and never played it - it's been sitting in it's case since he bought it. As crazy as it sounds, this will be the guitar I learn to play on.

I've got a great story about one of these. A friend had one from the early 2000's. It sounded fantastic and he put a lot of love into it. One fateful night, he was walking across the stage to adjust his in-ears when he fell off the stage. Onto the guitar. His favorite guitar now in 1000 pieces. He brought it to a local shop who glued it together for 300 dollars. I kid you not the guitar sounds exactly the same. You can see a break in the finish on the front if you know it's there, but without knowing the story you'd never know about it. He uses the guitar as his go-to to this day.

A good Martin seems to survive most things 😂 friend of mine had bought a brand new Martin, and was performing at a wedding in another country a few weeks later. He had to rush from the airport when he got back home, so his wife dealt with collecting luggage. She grabs the case, and there’s a huuuuge crack in it. Opens it, the back of the guitar is cracked. They eventually came to the conclusion it must have been caught under the airplane luggage door. That Martin is still being played regularly 20 something years later

I was always searching for the 'perfect' guitar. Last year I bought a 00028-EC from 1998. In excellent condition. I'm so happy with it, very nice balance and rich sounding.

Ive always wanted one of these, but couldn't pull the trigger for 3800, they are now going for 4000. I just came on a 2002 in great condition , for 2600 in Japan and bought it. Can't wait to play it. Wu Hoo.............

3:25.....Not sure what Martin was thinking with the “digitally printed” fake tortoise pickguard.....thankfully, they rectified that.
