Hello from South Surrey, BC, Canada. I am new to both stitching and your wonderful channel. My mom was an amazing cross stitcher and I inherited cases of her beautiful threads so I am so happy to have found your channel. Thank you for sharing your insights, thoughts and skills with us. Your teaching style is amazing. I am ready to start learning and practicing. ❤

Wonderful! I'm so glad you are here. I inherited my grandma's threads and button box. A real treasure trove. How precious it is to carry these amazing women with us. X

I need to find a way to be more positive in hard times. That will be a goal to work on this year. I'm going to get started on this prompt and try to keep up because stitching is relaxing and takes my mind out of my troubles while I'm doing it! Happy New Year 🎉🧵🪡

That's a great goal. We could all be better at that, I'm sure! Happy New year. 🎉

I've put a welly boot in the middle of my splash, with sheaf stitch making the tread on the bottom. Thanks for the inspiration, and your work!

I have found you through Night Owl Crafts. This project looks like fun. I'm mostly a knitter but I used to do a lot of needlework. I've wanted to get into slow stitching and I think this project might be what I need.

What a great idea! I must confess, after you picked the prompts I thought "Ugh, what the heck, that's a really weird combo". But you made it into something remarkable. I love your imagination! This is going to be a really fun year! Thanks.

I had the same reaction! I'm glad it worked out. It's definitely going to work my creative muscles!

Thank you. I have enjoyed watching you create this little piece. I'm trying to resist going upstairs and digging out rust coloured fabric and threads! I haven't got time to do this and the postcards, but enjoy watching and seeing what people do... This year I'm going to try and be more focused and not get distracted!... I have recently realised that ADHD becomes more of a challenge in retirement, without the structure of work!

I've been making reusable grocery totes out of old jeans, for the past 6 weeks. Only got 4 done in time for Christmas gifts so I'm going to keep making them. I've been stitching on some. Your videos Rebecca will help me add more interesting stitching. Thanks! I'm going for "happy" in the new year. I've had 2 deaths in the past year and a half and just like you said, it didn't feel right to have a lot of fun. And I wouldn't have had fun having fun anyway😢. But it's time to be happy again, from enjoying walks to sewing to Bible studies with friends. 😊

This is going to be such a fun challenge. I am watching you stitch with warm colors as I watch it snow out my window.

Snow here too! It's all been rained away now though. Cosy stitching always does the trick though. X

I loved the idea, and I think I'm going to do it, but I confess that I like to organize my projects at the end, and I don't know how I would be able to save them in a way that the requested prompts are in an order. But I still think I'm going to start, because I loved the idea. I apologize because I'm in the translator, and I don't speak your language. Thank you for this challenge.

One of my goals in 2025 is to learn to be more creative. Your video popped up in my feed and what you are doing is so amazing to me. I absolutely love the splash design and what you created from the pick of the pot. I'm excited to see next week!

Still working on mine - probably finish it tomorrow. I surprised myself to find I had some fusible interfacing, though it was a bit heavy and stiff. And some of my fabrics either melted into the fusing, or resisted completely. 😆Still, I got it stitched down in the end. My main difference from yours is that I'm using pieces of denim, as I have so much of it in my stash, rather than buy a heap of felt. So all the colour is in the decoration. I like this stitch, simple and quick! Thanks for this challenge.

@@featherstitchhouse if you can remove the first picks they could always go on the inside cover or, make more and put the next ones over the tops. Just a thought.

Many thanks for doing this again! I’m going to do a variation of it since I have zero felt here and will not buy any! Ha… I also will be starting a stitch sampler with a book from the library to learn these stitches and have that for the cover of this project..

Hi Rebecca, love your creativity! I had a look on your store - are you planning to create packs of the background felt to sell? Not sure if you have already been asked by others and replied.
@featherstitchhouse27 күн бұрын
@WendyLockley there didn't seem to be enough demand. We do sell felt, but a multi coloured pack of wool or wool blend felt should get you started.

Thank you Rebecca for your inspiring channel! I love stitching along with you and have learned so much from the Winging It 2024! I'm not very good with computers and have a question. When you say ' I'll link it in the description below'....I can't locate the information. Where do I look?
@vanessaboman8143Ай бұрын
Above the name of the channel there's three little dogs with the word 'more' you click on that and more info pops up and then if there's another three dogs and the word you click on that, all info is there, I hope this helps you.

Hi Rebecca, lovely work as always. May I ask what pen you used to draw on your radiating lines? Is it a Pilot Frixion pen? If so, where did you find a pale (white?) colour ink one? I can only find, red, blue and black. Thanks 🙂
@featherstitchhouseАй бұрын
Hi. It's a pilot friction body with a white heat Erase refill that is designed for fabric. Just make sure you get the correct size. I think it's 11cm.

I’m excited to start stitching! When stitching the sheaf stitch, as a left-handed stitcher I should work from left to right. Correct?
@featherstitchhouseАй бұрын
Stitch it whichever way feels natural. I do a lot of stitches 'backwards' - I was taught by my left-handed mum. I never know whether I am making stitches left-hand or right handed! 😂
