Agree with Coal Baron. I love the mechanics for PU&D. What makes the game really tight is that deliveries do not pay off in money, only points, so each time you make a round of deliveries you have to work on the next cycle, starting with money. Getting the most out of your workers while competing with other players to keep worker cost low is a fun challenge.

Istanbul, Now Boarding and Lords of Xidit not being on this list is a shame... I'd also say containter, but the economic and auction elements of the game are more interesting than the picking up and delivering which are crucial but also kinda basic. I haven't played all of the games on this list, but Conspiracy is real good, and certainly my favorite of the ones I've played.

I noticed that I have a weird tendency towards sci-fi when it comes to this genre... Xia, Firefly, Star Wars: Outer Rim, Merchant of Venus... notice a pattern here? ;-)

Few more games: Tahiti (players have to balance how much they can deliver against how quickly), Tricky Tides (combines pick up and deliver with trick taking) and Africana (has a mechanism of joining and completing expeditions that feels like pick up and deliver).

I haven't played too many pick up and deliver games(my favorite also being Horrified) but I'll add Black Fleet to the list. Pretty light weight but always fun. It's designed as a 3-4 person game but we've played it with 3 teams of 2 a few times and it totally works, so it could play up to 8.

Great Heartland Hauling company. it has very small footprint, easy to teach, and quick to play. I use that as entry level game or mini games inbetween heavy games.

I really like Islebound, it’s my favorite pick up and deliver game. The theme and artwork has a great sense of escapism. And I love how many choice you have.

An old game called Za was a pizza delivery game. I still have my copy and it really has elements of pizza delivering (worked in pizza for many years).

I'm not big on pu&d, but I do really enjoy Century:Eastern Mountains and its variants. Not sure it counts but Snowblind:Race for the pole is a lesser known game I really like. (You are delivering your flag to the South pole... It's iffy I know)

This list is missing two VERY good games. Jaws also from prospero is really fun, super thematic, and the first act is a combination of pick up and deliver and hidden movement. Very easy to play as well. The best game for this list though is definitely Firefly. I love the show, but its not necessary to have a great time with it. It does require a number of expansions to really get the full effect though and it does run a few hours to play.
