This is excellent! Thank you for taking the time to break it down for those of us who are computer illiterate!

So helpful Jason - Thank you. The tip about printing on decent quality paper is so important too! Colour selection is something I must be a little more disciplined about in my artwork as it’s so important to a decent finished piece. Great art and great advice and thank you for sharing.

Cool Idea! I want to make a new application with real pencil swatches as color picker. Just chose your pencil set.

Thank you for this tutorial. It's great step by step. Unfortunately I don't have a mouse for my tablet and it wont allow me to drag the colors even trying my tablets pen wouldn't do it. Then I got to thinking I wouldn't be able to use this process anyway because I wouldn't be printing the picture a due to cost of ink. I just use the pictures on my tablet for reference. I also use a Kodak luma 350 to get my line drawings done for accuracy. Just wanted you to know you did a wonderful job in the step by step. I was able to follow along watching your tutorial on You Tube on my TV and following along on the app doing the picture on my tablet. February I get to start my pastel journey. Will definitely be joining your Patreon art channel. I like the tutorials you've done on You Tube and I am looking forward to being in the virtual class room sort of speak. Thanks again for your time and hard work doing these videos.❤ 😊 Jill C. Huachuca Arizona

I just joined your Patreon. I like the way you instruct and present all your info. I have a good stash of pastels..from an old set of Rembrandt soft from years ago when I took classes to Pan Pastels to NuPastels to Carbothello t(60 color set) o a recent purchase of Mungyo Gallery 30 color set hand-rolled (affordable & highly recommended,) and a 12 color set of FC Pitt Pastel pencils. Watercolor, at least now, is my “main squeeze” and I’ll probably always be hooked on that medium in a major way. But I’ve been anxious to learn more about pastels, to up my game. I also dabble in oils, so learning more there would be helpful too. Thanks much!

I have PIXLR but it seems to get PIXLER E I have to subscribe. I do not see any other PIXLR for free…. Unless it’s possibly free on a computer. I’m just using my iPad.
