Sinatra and Swingin’ Brass is very underrated. Neil Hefti called it his preview to the Count Basie Lp. Neil retired from arranging Lp’s saying after Frank and Basie, there’s nowhere to go…

I actually prefer this album to Basie, not to detract anything from the Basie album though. Is that the reason why Neil didn't work with Frank again?

There's absolutely nothing that can compare to the music of the 70's. Almost every artist captured the spirit of the times. Times that we will never see again. So glad I was there!!

George Roberts played bass trombone, not “backup trombone”.
