If it was me, I would first of all (if the chair design allows put one chair over the other upside down and include something bellow and above them ( pillows, clothing, towels, etc,) to use those empty spaces, and use corrugated paper and stretch wrap to secure everything in place. Remember that usually they take in consideration not only weight but also volume when charging so why not use those empty spaces to save money???
