I had stopped playing L5R shortly after the Gold Edition, in 2001. Still have some cards (some of them from the Imperial Edition, from 1997). For nostalgic reasons, I decided to play this game again - even knowing it is completely different now - and bought myself the standard pack a couple of days ago, to see how it feels like and I like it. It's a pity that my favorite clan is no more, but I'm planning building a Scorpion clan. Very cool. I think l have fun with it. Just need some friends to play with, now haha

L5R seems pretty Unique but also reminds me alot of the Flavour of Magic the Gathering Colors.

I do apologize if I sounded accusatory; I simply meant that I, as someone who had not even heard of the old CCG before the the new LCG was already out, have no real way to double-check anything and just got here because I was looking for L5R content to help me understand the game.
