That’s awesome!! My 2261 did well for me this year and will be the foundation of my seed line I’ll start growing every year!! But if you got any of these available I’d definitely be interested and I’d send a bubble or if you are selling them let me know and I’d buy a few but either way would like to grow it out next year!

Hi Mike, should we cut the secondary vines (2-3 per side) near the fruit to not put pressure on the main vine? My thinking is the fruit will lift it up and secondary will try to pull it back. I left some space creating a curve on the secondaries, didn't bury them near the fruit. And the main vine is curved a little near the fruit but not too much/perfect. I am still considering cutting 2 of those close secondaries

How long are your straps? Would you trust adjustable straps that could be shortened. Would you trust using strap material instead of rope on the bottom. Pretty impressive!

I wonder if you could somehow make the pumpkin grow sitting straight up if you dug underneath it constantly from when you start it

You can, people do it to achieve a cinderella type shape, this is only for looks and not recommended for growing for size, that technique is best left for pumpkins 500lbs and under.

Yup, Terminate when they fill the allotted area, so timing is variable year to year and plant to plant

My kids’ school had a “bring your pumpkins to school drop-off” day this year. Well, actually my 3 daughters asked if I would drop them off with my 1430 and 1289 lb pumpkins in tow…so that is what we did.
