Only Steve can come up with a 14 minute video exposition on the merits of the tape measure..... now, I'll be looking forward to your review of the laser tape measures with blue tooth syncing with the app on your smart phone! A must have when measuring windows!

Haha, it's funny, but I just found out this is harder than one might think. I just bought two new tape measures. There are only THREE features that I want my tapes to have. You'd think that would not be hard to find, but man...there are a million tapes out there with different combinations of two of the three things I want...but nearly NONE with all three. I wanted the fractions (bite me, I hate math). I wanted a magnetic catch. I wanted auto lock. There is nothing unusual about those three things...or so I thought. But it took me a couple of days to find one that had all three things for me. The answer is surprisingly a cheap tape. The Stanley Lever lock. It only has a 7 foot standout, and it only has numbers on one side but...those things were not on my list of three things. The only problem with the lever lock is that it's ugly...haha. So I just got one, taped up the opening where the tape comes out and dipped it in liquid rubber. Now it's cool looking too.

So far I PREFER KOMELON! AND THE NEW BAUER......WHICH BTW HAS A LIFETIME WAR!!!! THE NEW BAUERS WITH THE LTW R FREAKIN AWESOME TO ME!!! AND ONLY LIKE 10 BUCKS!? CHEAPER FOR THE SMALLER ONES! BOTH R MADE PRETTY MUCH ALIKE!? THE 30 FT KO....HAS OPPOSITE MEASUREMENTS ON THE BACK SO U DO HEIGHT AS WELL!! AND THEY HAVE THE FRACTIONS!! I CANT BELIEVE U DIDNT CHECK THEM OUT WHILE U WERE THERE!!?? NEED TO CHECK BOTH OF THESE BRANDS OUT FOLKS!!! THEY BOTH HAVE THE STOP CATCH CONTROL AS U SLIDE OUT ETC...KEEPING THEM FROM POPPING BACK IN ON U!! AND U DONT HAVE TO RELEASE PRESS DN ON ANYTHING TO DO IT! AND I ALSO LOVE THE COLORS ON THE KOME....AND THE FACT THAT THEIR 30FT HAS THE UP DN MEASUREMENTS ON THE BACKSIDE AS WELL!! THE 30 IS ALSO MY FAV ON THE BAUER!! OUT IF THE HIGH PRICED SHIT....IRWIN WOULD BE THE WINNER FOR ME!! BUT ID HANDS DN RATHER HAVE EITHER ONE OF THE 2 I MENTION HERE!! PROBABLY GRT BOTH AS IT NEVER HURTS TO HAVE AN EXTRA ONE LAYING AROUND!!??😮😊❤
