I work solo as finish carpenter, the tape sags or doesn't stand out very far 11ft avg own luftjkin niteeyes, Stanley fatmax auto lock and milwaukee stud. Saw video using laser tape now have lieca to measure crown and stabila provides room cubic inches. No more adding 3xcessive amount then trim to fit, just add inch trim to fit.

Milwaukee is so curved, that's why it has such a standout, but in general I think it is a minus, because if the tape is way too curved, it is uncomfortable to use, also that hole underneath will get the dust in and the tape will stop retracting sooner.

I own... Luftkin is okay tape large numbers and light weight Luftkin nite eyes has flat black blade with neon green large numbers is heavy and flimsy blade Stanley fat Max auto lock i keep at my miter saw Bought milwuakee stud while bulky has stiff blade and large numbers. As i was building a deck had my head somewhere drove marking stake into the blade it still works just fine A customer gave me a dewalt will only collect dust

The mikwaukee looks like it's sagging down further than the fatmax, even when it's only extended the same distance as the fatmax at around 11 ft. I could be wrong, but if that's true then I'd say the fatmax has a more useful standout, even if not as far on the tape

FatMax is Made in U.S.A..Obviously Stanley is choosing American jobs over the profit they could make by having them built overseas. That’s worth a lot to me. Especially since I like the FatMax as much as anything else anyway. Easy Choice.

For me the fatmax stops retracting eventually and the Milwaukees all peel apart. No tape lasts more than 6 months

I have had 0 problems with my stanley or milwaukee had them since release!

Yep, no tape memory is built to last. Not if they’re used hard. Thankfully they’re not too expensive.
