Gosh I remember when I first started seeing chatterbaits show up in the fishing section in Walmarts. I thought that it looked so stupid and I would never try it. It wasn’t until I met a guy at a Bass Pro Shop in Manteca, Ca who told me it’s his go to and that he crushes them on it. He even told me what his favorite trailer was, a Lake Fork Live Magic Shad Swimbait. This was like 2015. A chatterbait has now become an absolute staple in my tackle box. I won’t fish anywhere without throwing a chatterbait! Hands down one of the most successful new baits in bass fishing!

Y'all should try the big bite baits Kamikaze Swimmon the action is freaking great and gets bit only drawback is sometimes the holes on the tails will get caught up in the hook but just fix it and don't trip just fix it and keep on throwing it

Quick question Ike i was reading an old article of yours about using manns soft plastics to imitate a dragonfly. Asking this early because i know were right around the corner from this pattern again. To say I struggle would be an understatement. What baits are you using these days to get these bites. Thank you, NEVER GIVE UP!!

I feel there are times when bass what the extra action of a paddle tail trailer. I see big difference when using a paddle tail over a fluke or trailers that don't give off lots of action.

I watched an episode of Bill Dance he was catching fish on a bladed jig without a trailer tripped me out because he was catching fish

What water temperature would you stop using it, in Florida?

I find the bass get lethargic in Florida once water temps get over the mid-80s. My best bite after April is early mornings when water is at its coolest. By late fall / winter, the bite is better in the evenings. I catch most of my bass in the summer in south Florida on finesse rigs - dropshot, Neko rigged, wacky rigged worms or Ned baits. Texas rigged worms and shakey head worms fished real slow also get bites in the summer, especially at night
