Thank for bringing us with you and what a gorgeous tree! I like the little one you bought for the buffet as well. It finally is cold here and we got a sprinkle of snow. But north of me in central Ontario they got a winters full of snow in two storms and so many were and are stranded on highways (Ontario used to get crazy snow but due to global warming it’s been a long time) Six feet deep in some places! I’ll pray a few sprinkles come down your way just for Christmas Tipper❤❤

When I was a child, I found a tumbleweed on a road trip to NM. I decided to give it to my grandmother for her to make a Christmas tree from it. My mother didn't see my vision, but she let me drag it home after I agreed to ride next to it and to give up my turns riding in the front seat to my siblings. Anyway, long story short, Grandma painted the tumbleweed white, put in on a small table in the living room that had a green or red tablecloth depending on the year, and she put ornaments on it. The gifts went around it and on the floor near the table. It was great. Grandma made it beautiful, and she used it as a Christmas tree for years.

That was a good decision by your mother and your grandmother took it and ran with and made lots of memories. Mine's a bit more of a sad story but I found a deer head on the side of a road mounted on my way home from school one day and I dug it all the way home crying the whole time and Mama wouldn't allow it in the house but my grandmother did. She kept it in the furnace room and we kids played games with it every time we went to visit. My grandmother never tossed it out.

When my son was little and crawling around he hated his playpen so I put a small table in the center of it and put the top part of our artificial tree on that and all the presents in the bottom of the playpen and we didn’t have to worry about him getting into anything. It worked fantastically.

Thank you for taking us along with you! Loved seeing the beautiful mountains. When our kids were at home, my husband would make a thermos full of hot chocolate and grab his chain saw. Thanks for taking us along. I think you picked the best trees there. I don't know if this would be helpful, but when we had little kids around, and later rambunctious cats, we used fishing line to tie the top of the tree in 3 directions. There's no way it can tip over then. It's to do it after the lights and garland are on, because it's harder to wrap stuff around the tree once it's hogtied. Then we used only unbreakable ornaments on the lower half of the tree. We still taught the kids "don't touch," but there was backup if they got to it anyway.

I did it first for my infant daughter, Presley, many years ago. Now I do it for my cats Sonny & Cher. I use green floral wire to secure the upper 1/3 of the tree to the wall or molding. That no matter how rowdy or joyful cats or kids get, they can’t bring it down

I had a wonderful day with your family picking out the Christmas Tree. It brought back so many memories when mother would take us kids to the tree lot. We'd walk and walk it just find the right one. Best part was decorating the tree. Mother always did the lights and tinsel and we hung the ornaments. We also played Christmas music and say along. Mother sang in the church choir and she had the most wonderful voice. I remember hearing her sing and sing. She's gone now through the veil and is with God to rest for a while. I still talk to her each night before I close my eyes and often times I feel her presence throughout the day. I miss those days of family and that excitement of everything during the season. Take care Tipper, I love your channel, It brings me much peace and makes me feel welcome and like I was going home again. All My Love, Always.

What a perfect blue sky day. Like the tree you picked and love the little ornaments you and Katie used on the little one in the kitchen. I've seen those ornamental cabbage in city people's yards in wintertime here in Alabama in a dark purple and white. Seems I remember them staying pretty in the cold. Walmart has large plastic rectangular baby pins that could maybe be wrapped around a tree if you left a side open.

I always loved real trees, including the one my friend and I cut down when we were around 10 years old, and my parents let me put it up in my bedroom. I always loved real trees until sometime during the 70's when I still found remnants of the tree while vacuuming my shag carpet in July. That was the year I decided artificial trees are very nice too. Thanks for the video showing people how you found perfect trees this year. Merry Christmas to all!
