There has been a QB controversy since Arch stepped foot on campus. Everyone was just in denial and were hoping Quinn could do the impossible of ignoring the Manning hysteria. Even worse that Quinn got hurt this season. Even worse that Manning showed up with big play ability and genuine leadership qualities against UTSA etc. People always talk “oh it’s a great problem to have. Two good QB’s”. This is bs coach speak. Having two QB’s is like having two husbands or two bosses. You can’t have it all. One of them is bound to get their feelings hurt. It’s the nature of that position. The locker room rallies around a QB. And the locker room, the coaching staff, and the rest of longhorn nation is actually confused if we’re being honest. But a decision at QB is imminent. Sark has already passed the point of no return and Quinn feels betrayed. If it was awkward before for Quinn to play with an Arch monkey on his back, it’s damn near impossible now to ignore. The damage is done. If Quinn can rise above this, I’ll be really impressed

What was bizarre about the game was the intensity brought to it by the Georgia D after 6 games of sporadic high-quality defense. Asking Quinn to sit for a few series after the onslaught he had faced was by no means bizarre.

We know when he’s at his best, locked in his zone, this team isn’t losing. We have a championship defense, and all our offensive guys are championship material. We had a hiccup game, a humbling that we need to wake up from. Address the errors, fix them and clean them up. Take it to Vandy STRONG in the first half and ride that wave to the end of the 4th quarter when the clock hits 00:00. We do that and Texas fans will know our guys mean business. Even if we do that no one will let us have a win til playoffs. So we need to do this for EVERY game from here on out and let the rest of college football know this is a championship level team that’s here to win games 🤘🤘

... Georgia defense plays 12 teams this regular season. Most teams in the SEC have played a super human Georgia defense this decade, most didn't bench their starter to get their starter mentally back in the game. To me, it's not a controversy, so much as a weird move that did nothing to affect the outcome of the game.

One of the reasons people don't often go with guy #2 is because guy #2 usually isn't a Manning and thus has a much more significant drop off. It's not like Archie is also a carbon copy of Ewers. You needed a different skill set, as in a runner!

The problem is your O Line is comparing notes on blocking hand placement on the sidelines. In the face of a strong defensive line making you swap QBs, you're now asking that O Line to swap schemes from pass first to a (designed) run option. That often ends up looking like the end of Manning's second drive in the Georgia game.

Texas has a great team Georgias Defense is just that good. Beck can struggle all day every day that Defense alone will win them a National title if it plays anything like that. I get its funny to take shots at Texas for losing but in reality if you watch that game Texas Defense actually played good it was just over shadowed by how dominate the Defense of Georgia was. I had Texas lsing 2 games this year. Georgia and OU.Yes OU ended up being worse then we all thought but its a rivalry game and I have seen bad teams on one side beat really good teams on the other. Sucks to watch Texas Offense get dominated like that but to be honest I am glad it happened when it did because Sark is good enough coach to make changes. Not saying they would for sure beat Geogia in a rematch but it would be a different game.

The line was the primary problem, not the QB, totally. Arch used his feet once, everything else that was happening to Quinn happened to him. It proved to be an unproductive decision.
