Carlos I would like your recommendations. I have a 2010 SG with the Sony xav-av7000 head unit in a metra inner fairing and I am interested in changing my amp and speakers. I have a pair of 6.5's in the fairing and a pair of 6.5's in Advan Black lowers. I also have a pair of 6x9's in the saddlebag lids. For the saddlebags I was considering the Hertz SX 690's and a pair of SV 165's and a pair of SX 165's for the fairing and the lowers. Where would you recommend putting the SX's, in the fairing or the lowers? Also please recommend which Sound Digital amp(s) to use? I was also curious in using a DSP. Is it more advantageous to use one with the Sony 7000 since it already has an EQ and high and low pass settings built into it? There is a difference between water resistance and water proof / the SX 165 NEO has water resistant vs the SV 165 NEO has water proofing. The technical definition of water resistant is that it's able to resist the penetration of water to a certain degree, but not entirely. Waterproof technically means that it's impermeable to water, no matter how much time it spends in water.

A great speaker by hertz NO ONE talks about is the MLK 1650.3 they are awesome. IMHO they are severely neglected by the Motocycle audio crowd. I dumped 150-180 watts rms into them with custom XTC crossovers and they were spectacular.

Carlos I have a question I have a 2021 Road glide special with the stage 3 RF system factory installed, I want to change the speakers fairing and bags I see the SPL neo are best My RF I hatethe sound and one of the bag speakers is buzzing already. You must have a android phone Dsr1 do not play well with android . Try updating the firmware on the dsr1 If that doesn’t work Borrow a iPad , iPod touch , or someone’s old iPhone that no longer has service and use that .

@@NVSAUDIO I have the latest iPhone and I just updated and flashed with las test firmware, everything working fine until I came back down to the shop to connect it and now no power. Bluetooth worked at home while on the computer but now it doesn’t power on.

@@Barberian_ I had a similar issue with my DSR-1. I unplugged the wire harness from the Dsr-1 for about 1 minute then reinstalled. I updated my iphone to the lastest software. I uninstalled and reinstalled the perfect tune app. I used my phone's data to connect to the DSR-1 instead of my home Wi-Fi. I have a road glide and my DSR1 is under my radio. I had to lay the iphone on top of the outer upper fairing to get a good signal to connect to the DSR-1.

Carlos, are the SX 165 NEO drop-in for the Tour Pak pods on an Ultra Limited/Road Glide Limited? I currently have Arc Moto 602 6.5" speakers in my 2017 Road Glide Ultra fairing, and Alpine SPR-60 6.5's (drop in fit) in my Tour Pak pods. I'm looking for a bit better sound that will use the same speaker in all four spots to run with a Biketronics BT 4180. (Not looking to swap the amp currently) and the GTS head unit. The Kicker lids are almost the same price as the Rockford kit unpainted. They are top mount 6x9 lids. Then you would have your stock lids if you trade in later.

Yes it’s makes a difference Anytime we have used cca speaker wire in the past on a motorcycle the ends of the wire would oxidize and start to crumble and fall apart . Plus cca wire doesn’t like to hold solder . Once we switched to ofc wire on everything All those problems went away
