Harley is going to do just fine the next few years its a brand that is really becoming more popular every day because of what there doing. Even when its too cold and icy to ride in my area I will be content to see that beautiful new RK sitting in my garage, thing of beauty. Have great trip and HD thanks for supporting these road tips.

The Road King is a great bike and I almost bought it last year, but settled on the Heritage Classic. It’s a good touring bike too just not quite as heavy. Much easier to move around my garage. The only downside is that the saddle bags are a bit smaller than the Road King or Street Glide. I’ve enjoyed your road trip videos. Very impressed with such a petite girl riding these big bikes and even in the rain. Hope you have nothing but sunny skies and warm temperatures for your Florida trip. It’s going to be in the 60’s here in North GA today so I’m going riding myself! Ride safe.

Hi Doodle, I've never had the pleasure of riding a Harley, and I well remember when you weren't a fan, but now they've grown on you for their comfort on road trips, and their carrying capacity, and their undeniable beauty! It's freezing here in the UK, so I'm especially going to enjoy this trip into the sunshine. A 4k drone would be a huge asset to have! Ride safe!

I love that you get the bug for a trip, and then make it happen! Speaking of bugs, take a pic of your wind screen when you get there. Please be careful, sudden rain storms, followed by blinding Florida sun is like driving on a wet mirror. Watch for Armadillos, alligators & other assorted critters. Don't try to jump across the missing span on the abandoned railroad Bridge! LOL. Lots of natural beauty down there, can't wait to see an update ! Take care.

I’ve had 3 Harleys and numerous Japanese bikes.I love them all. The bias some people have against brands is kinda crazy, just be open to adventure and fun and let go of the nonsense and ride them all. You want to rack up great experiences with all the brands. Have fun with this new ride! I think I might try a Triumph bobber this spring and see where that adventure takes me.

@@michaeljohnson2922 Everyone has different wants/needs. I bought the 2016 V7ii because the max torque flattens out at 2800 rpm. The 2017 V7lll maxes & flattens out at 4800. The later 850cc engines have higher output, but the bike is 60 lbs heavier. I'm not racing around, just want the low end / low rpm grunt. Asthetically, they all look good to me, especially the 2021 V7 Special in metallic blue!

When I went to the USA 30 years ago, I went to Atlanta and I did bike (bicycle) racing. We would go up to the North Georgia mountains every Wednesday to Dahlonega and do a 56-mile circuit through the mountains. Beautiful countryside. Had a lady at a KFC drive-through shout "Y'all come back now, ya hear!" Made my day. Now, I live in Thailand and ride a Harley (Dyna Streetbob), I'm new to your channel and really enjoy your content. Drove to the Keys in 2021 in a 60s vintage van. It will be a fun trip but watch out for the deer on the green islands. They are known to dart out as the habitats are small and have a highway running through them. In Key West: - Croissants de France Bakery & Restaurant for breakfast - Butterfly Conservatory and say hi to the flamingos - Just putter by the Southern Most Point with a camera ready vs waiting in line On the Way Down - Coco Plum Place (coffee Key Largo) - Turtle Hospital (call for scheduled tour as it is the only option) - Sol by the Sea (upscale ocean front Ley Largo)

One of my bikes is an '07 Road King. All the touring bikes (Street Glide, Road Glide, Electra Glide, Road King and their variants) are based on the same frame. I'm surprised the guy said the RK sits a little taller than another model because the only difference there would be the seat. The key factor in the touring models is the rubber motor mounts that help smooth out the ride. Some people diss Harleys, but they sell more bikes than any other brand. They don't have the most power, but I love my Road King. I also love my Ducati. If it's got two wheels, you can have fun on it! :) I like having side bags even for daily riders. I can go to the grocery store and stuff. Also, all my bikes have at least a mid height windscreen. Once you ride a bike at 70 with a wind screen and without, you never want to go without. I don't do Instagram, I can't stand it's interface and how it works. Bleh. So I'll have to wait to hear about your ride. I hope you have a nice trip. May you have many smiles for all the miles!
@rogerburns84782 жыл бұрын
The road king sits 1 inch higher in the rear than the street gide or road glide. They both have 1 inch chopped out of the rear suspension for the slammed look. Road king has the comfort suspension from the limited models. 3 inches o travel vs 2 inches.
@TheMNB2 жыл бұрын
@@rogerburns8478 hmm, it didn’t used to be that way AFAIK. My RK is a 2007. I ‘08 they went fly by wire throttle. Sometime after ‘07 the wheel size was bumped to 17” fron 16” and the wheelbase was lengthened. Those two changes made it less maneuverable, but 17s were probably a good move. Much has changed in 15 years in a company know for often just changing the colors in a new model year. 😂 IMO, Harley really needs to step it up with their suspension. 2” is a joke. 4” should be the minimum for a street bike. Front AND back. And reasonable quality components, too, please!
@rogerburns84782 жыл бұрын
@@TheMNB I agree they need more they changed it with the rushmore updates in 16. Mine was a 2017 road king. They also went to a larger wheel again in 20 on the limiteds.
