Hey Josh...you lucky bastard! Ultra cool bike. Forgive me cause I'm a bonehead motorcycle enthusiast, but I've never understood the plethora of Harley model and feature nomenclature, fer instance what exactly does 'Stage IV' signify?..It would be helpful if sometimes you could maybe explain for those of us who are not hip to all the buzzwords, acronyms, etc. That Harley afficionados toss out with such ease...and leave Me dazed and confused as to what all that cool sounding stuff really means.....yeah I'm an idiot but crave a deeper understanding of the coolness😁😉👍👍

I have to wonder though how long will we be seeing the Clubbed to Death look....6 twin cams listed today on marketplace, 6 very close to cloned bikes waiting for the trend to move on. Git those cuts on and...."Ridin down the road "....Sons of Anarchy " I'm fine with the platform....just be nice to see pre 99 bikes left alone to appreciate. ..or maybe just be appreciated by those who want 90's models enhanced to suit owners unique needs

My local custom shop put together a full S&S motor on a Road King last year. Full track type build. At the time there were like 3 in the country. Dyno'd at something like 150hp, IIRC. They had it out at a poker run to break it in, had a little spot where we got down to one lane road, he cracked the throttle open to get the line of bikes moving a little bit again, pulled the front end off the ground and was doing 90+ in a heartbeat. Built right, those vtwins are NASTY.

@peterchown15524 жыл бұрын
Levi Garrett all manufacturers limit their top speed, & the rockets engine is in a completely different class to a Harley twin, Rockets go very well standard but their power potential when modified is ... well let me just say on a different level to anything Harley . I have a good friend who owns & runs a motorcycle tune up / mechanical upgrade shop , he has literally hundreds of bikes Dyno results , Rockets are in a class of their own

Oh it's fast in any gear. Makes a 900 lb bike feel like a 300 lb bike. There is a lot of torque going to that back wheel, respect it or it will get away from you. I spun the back tire going from 4th to 5th passing cars. It's a whole lotta fun so if you can do it, go for it! Only con is that engine gets hot, especially the catalytic converter. Not the bike to get caught in traffic. The 128 and 131 Stage Kits make the same horsepower at 121 and differ in torque by a few 126/131 respectfully. You can get WAY more if you tune it right. The budget way of doing it would be buying a Road King, Street or Road Glide standard and do the 128 kit. It's all covered under warranty and extended service plan if you stick with all Harley parts.
