I have the MTH version! They are both fantastically detailed models. The BLI wins in that it doesn't have an articulated chassis therefore looks much more realistic negotiating curves. On the other hand, the MTH smoke unit is way better than the BLI version. Perhaps owning one of each is the way forward?(wife, if you are reading this I am JOKING dear!)

Yeah, but again it is a really nice locomotive. Maybe you could orchestrate a type of pull test to see how much this thing can pull.
