This year is a very productive one in JAMAICA. Almost every fruit tree bears. No starvation anticipated. I hope that Beryl doesn't change the situation. You have enough to feed your community but, now all of a sudden, things change. The year has has not done yet and so you'll mend what's broken and flourish again. Yes, Beryl has messed almost everything.

Life goes on back to normal after lots of clean up. Breadfruit trees are down all over the place. Seems as if they are very susceptible to the wind and rain more than the mango and other trees. Hopefully it will be back in no time bearing again. Keep safe and well during cleanup. God Bless.

Marvin, you should have trimmed the trees before the hurricane. Cutting off some of the limbs would have prevented the wind from uprooting the trees.

Where is ths place? I'm in Clarendon, where I am there was not a lot of damages except we were out of current and water, which has bn restored over the weekend Only thing the house top of a family member has bn partially destroyed and just like you, their breadfruit tree shed its fruits, it wasn't uprooted but branches were torn off

So nice to see your safe the international communities should send wood chipper's to help you all recuperate faster, solar power systems and internet connections stations troughout different parishes. I think i'ts basic needs . Hope those fruit trees can sprout soon? Good luck and take care. You will have compost for sure and the wood chips could keep the gardens moist but who am I to say this😅

I am so happy to know you are ok. Was worried for you and I had no way to check in. Was without electricity and internet. I am back at work today so I am able to check in. Marvin you are right, while there is life there is hope, we can rebuild, trees will grow back. Your outdoor eating spot is without any shelter but Marvin will come up with something. Sorry about the trees that were lost. We are a resilient set of people, it could have been much, much worse so we are giving God thanks. I think everybody that has their breadfruit and banana trees blown down should take the produce to town and sell and see how fast they sell,I live in America and recently ask a lady who lives in Papine to bring some breadfruit and she couldn't find any so share by selling 😅😅
