Nothing like starting out big....We started out at a 15' pop-up, a 23' RV trailer, a 25' RV trailer and now a 29' RV trailer...Your will find at gas stations the "outer" pump island will be your friend. Since your a diesel you can use the Pilot / Flying J truck pumps....

Yes we really found the right size for us even though I would love the transportation of a smaller rig. Yep those outer pumps is great if the gassers don’t use them. I love the trucker stops but not their fuel prices. Thanks for watching and commenting!

The first time we took our camper out, the outdoor kitchen sink was on.... but we didn’t realize it until I saw the river flowing through the kitchen to the bedroom!!!🤦🏼‍♀️ always an adventure! Lol

Get the trailer brakes sorted or you are asking for trouble. Also when moving your life into that rig, be aware of the added weight and how it's distribution will change the dynamic of how it follows behind your truck.. Best of luck on your new journey.

Very cool video. I remember the first time I pulled my first rv. It was a smaller 5th wheel. A bit scary. But my new rv is a travel trailer which I find more anxiety inducing. Not a fan of the trailer sway. Safe travels y’all

Hi 👋!! So we parked the RV near our home town at a RV Park. We kept our stuff that was going into the RV in my parents basement. Our other stuff we kept not going with us went into storage. We waited until the house sold before we bought it because we wanted to pay cash and be debt free. Thanks for watching & commenting!

This Sunday I’m FINALLY going to tow ours for the first time 😬 (previous owners delivered it from ID for us in November!) I’m actually having a friend who has a FW do a little mentoring and we’re going to take it out for a few hours. Kinda nervous as heck too! I noticed your truck is not leveled, my 08 is so I’m curious how much squat I’m going to get with our ~2700# pin weight 🤷🏻‍♂️

Congratulations on your new to you rig I have similar set up '15 GMC Sierra 3500 DRW with '14 Fuzion 375 I bought last year which is our 3rd 5th wheel and 5th rv and learned the hardway with tire age related failure, brake and bearing suspension issues and water leaks (damage). Put new "G" rated tires on either Sailun brand commercial or Goodyears you'll get 5-7 yrs of trouble free service and you'll protect your family while on road. Have axle bearings inspected repacked or replaced asap supposed to be done annually if you DIY Dexter axle OEM on your rig has excellent product support and DIY instructions. Buy a HF infared gun to verify brake/axle temps when stopping investigate temps over 130 as excess heat will cause tire failure also check tire pressue and wheel lug torque before every trip I have foundnloose lug nuts after 200 miles. Invest in a wet bolt kit with HD shacles for leaf springs Keystone used plastic bushings with 1/4" eend plated HDs are 2x thicker with broze bushings that should be greased with grease gun every 3 mos min if traveling regularly. Invest in a Tire presure monitoring system for your truck and trlr as DRW trucks don't sag when rear tire goes down and can over load or heat remaing tire without your knowledge while driving I had a newer inner rear air down because of bad valve stem on a Michelin LTX, allso had same on trlr G rated GY luckily my TTS TPMs alerted me on both occasions saving me the replacement cost of two expensive tires. I installed a Morryde CRE4000 suspesion upgrd and Reese Goose box on trr which keeps barstools and dishes from moving around but I would consider those unnecessary from a safety stand point. Water damage is the curse to rvs especially on unprotected waferboard like Keystone uses on their flooring and roofs where ever possibe do not allow water to contact those surfaces as removal and replacement is required, difficult, expensive to correct and signifacantly reduces resale value if not corrected. You should think about joining the Keystone owners forum @ Keystonervforums.com for info from other Montana owners. Happy trails in your travels.

Bill Dennis.. wow.. thanks for all that valuable info!! I replaced the tires before we left our home state with the Sailun’s and will show that in an upcoming video!! I still need to get the TPMs system though! I already lost one lug nut and now check them every chance I get. I do check my axle/bearing temp but with my hand, I was told if it warm your fine, but if it’s hot then it’s not! The Montana already has the Morryde suspension but I think it’s the 3000.. I’ll have to check to make sure. I’m curious what kind of MPG your getting with your Duramax? I’m currently at 9mpg which is about 2 or 3 less than I was hoping. Thanks again for all those tips!!
