I see a lot of channels say it takes around 2 years of posting content to see a change in sub count so even tho that isn't a goal I imagine since you've been posting pretty regularly for around that time you'll prolly see some major growth this year

🥳 First time joining your Premiere and loved your genuine thoughts. As a silent lurker on my personal channel, I have now created an Authortube channel (this one) and am hoping to start soon. It was so great to hear you get vulnerable about your goals for writing and Authortube and to know that we all share the same fears. Can't wait to see your channel grow more in 2025!! ❤

I love your takes on the book community! Reading is fun and we don’t need to put more pressure on ourselves.

I like your goals and how you also gave an uplifting chat. I do feel like people put too much pressure on themselves. I'm a follow booktuber with a small channel.

As someone who started watching booktube this year, and someone already fairly confident in their reading style, I agree that sometimes watching people's goal videos stress ME out because they inevitably make videos about how they weren't able to reach their goals and how much it stressed THEM out. I read a lot this year compared to others, but reading was also my main hobby this year when it usually isn't. I'm always changing so why should I put pressure on myself to keep my reading the same or try to match someone else? I finally got back into writing this year (thanks, Arcane season 2!) after not writing much for nearly 3 years. I found a Discord group specifically for Arcane fans and it has been so fun finding a writing community again and doing sprints with them and being able to geek out. I don't have any desire to get published, but I'm hoping to ride this writing inspiration train as far as it'll take me. Writing and posting fanfiction alone has been able to make me pretty happy and make me feel like a "real author" or whatever haha Live streams stress me out a little, but I totally get how sprinting with friends really helps push you to get more done. It's such a positive environment to be in. Have a wonderful new year, looking forward to everything you post!

My biggest goal is to get my book query ready! And to find more books I love! I wish you the best of luck on accomplishing your goals Tay! Have you ever been through Northern Idaho in your travels? We don't got any oceans, but lots of pretty lakes and mountain air!

I need to order your first book and get that read before you release the 2nd one... Since I found your channel I'm seriously thinking about setting up a Little Library. I didn't think they had them where I live but found out they DO!!! So that's a goal of mine for 2025. My writer goal is to publish TWO books... at the very least I know I will get one finished but hoping to get both done. My authortube channel is growing slowly but it is growing and I'm excited to see where it goes in 2025.

Do you plan to publish Venture Beyond in paperback? I went to put it on preorder and only found the ebook. Great thoughts about reading goals and I absolutely agree! I am definitely here for any chatty videos.

It will be! I’m still finalizing some things but the preorder for a paperback copy should be up in a week!

My big goal for 2025: revise and edit the three-ish books I drafted this year 😮

Wishing you luck getting Project Close traditionally published. That's not something I'm ready to pursue yet 😂 One of my goals is to publish less and spend more time on the first draft of a book. And maaaayybe do some authortube videos. Maaaaaaaayyybbbee.

I'm that crazy amount of books read lady. It's me. Pointing directly at myself. Me. Also, though, for anybody who looks at a giant reading goal as stress rather than motivation? Please don't. I (obviously) can't speak for anybody else, but in my case? I don't do anything else, partially because I like reading and partially because I'm old and riddled with various stupid injuries. For example, the most recent: damaged a nerve in my knee so my foot won't flex. At all. It's called "foot drop" and it's every bit as fun as it sounds. Walking is kind of like if you boarded the world's jankiest carnival ride after ingesting a water-cooler's worth of gin. So I'm doing nothing but reading, drawing, and eating snacks. I would absolutely trade that number for the ability to, y'know, walk somewhere. :D Which is all just saying that if you're looking at some Tiktokker (is that the term? Again, I'm old and out of touch with the youths.) who read 300 books, there might be a reason for that. Which they may not be yapping about on their 30 second highlight reels. Do what feels good to you -- for most of us, books are a hobby, so there's no point in turning it into a giant stress-muffin. Make it a GOOD muffin. Like raspberry cream swirl or whatever. Leave the stress muffins for the type A finance bros or random tightrope walkers. Enjoy your muffins. (And maybe take one for a walk, since you never know when that will cease to be an option for three-to-six-months. Just saying. :D)
@TaylorAnnWright3 күн бұрын
Exactly! 👏🏼💖 (so sorry to hear about your knee, omg!) There is nothing wrong with reading a lot or spending time on hobbies you love. It’s when that number becomes a daunting “task” or “goal” or worst of all, a chore! Reading is supposed to be fulfilling and fun. I was shocked to have even read the 120+ I did! We all go through seasons and that number will change throughout our lives. ✨
