This is the best video about capturing the joy of music, and guitar in particular, on the Internet. Well done Tatiana and all. Enjoy that smokin' blue guitar.

It did help that you picked a musician. She has the automatic ability to find things. Very cool.

She had an advantage for sure!

Having the ability to make music instead of just some notes is so powerful for beginners..and it’s seems when they’re playing,not only do they hear it..they can “feel” it too and start to improvise in the moment and then realize..wow…that was cool…how’d I do that?! …great job to both teacher and student 😊

i think a big thing with us musicians trying to learn a new instrument, is that sometimes we wanna get all of the nicest sound quality. so when we mess up, its like "snap, im making it sound ugly ". also coming from an instrument that only needs to play one voice, its somewhat overwhelming as a learning curve to learn chords and harmony. she was awesome tho, and having met her in college during orientation and seeing where she is at now, its amazing. I hope she lands more opportunity. If you ever read this Tati, I sure am honored to have met you.

I've helped some people learn guitar in their older age even though they have those teenage dreams in their head of being unstaged someday we all have to admit it's unlikely so you have to remember to enjoy it that's the key nicely done

She has a massive advantage - she's already a professional musician!
@Andy2511534 күн бұрын
that's true, she did go to college for music, just not on guitar
@Pickupjazz4 күн бұрын
She’s never played guitar before this and had no technical skills on the instrument.
@philipatoz4 күн бұрын
@@Pickupjazz, doesn't matter - what I mean by this is that MENTALLY she understands what she's striving to do, and thus the physical aspects will likely come quicker for her. As a player for 50 years, I've almost forgotten how difficult it was to physically master the guitar. And even once physically mastered, that physicality must be constantly maintained, so as to keep playing at a high level. And once the physical is overcome, there is a lifetime of learning the possibilities as to what the instrument is capable of - and that doesn't even consider learning about effects and amps.
@bless88743 күн бұрын
It's definitely easier for musicians to learn to play other instruments. We already understand rhythm and probably some music theory too. The time I spent in high school playing percussion instruments definitely helped
@KT-fn6me2 күн бұрын
Agree, being a professional musician she knows notes and music theory and understands timing and rhythm and has experience with playing with other musicians, which is a huge advantage. The typical beginner doesn’t usually have that.
