They don't want being the centre of attention to end, they don't want to all the excitement to stop, they don't want the fantasy to come to an end. They know that as long as they don't yet have "the" dress they can keep their fantasy going. These girls nearly always wait until they are really in a time crunch before they will commit.

I was a 1978 bride. I tried on three dresses with three different ‘points of view.’ I already knew what to stay away from. Honestly, they all looked great. I decided that I could try 100 more and they’d all look great as long as I stayed away from known lousy styles/fits. I ended up buying the first one I’d tried. I love it to this day. (Princess Di would have looked better in it than the one she wore. 😂) Also, I don’t recall dresses being as structured back then as they are now. They fit more like ‘real’ dresses, at least the ones I tried did.

I've never gotten this whole "she MUST be confused!!1!" thing, even after shopping for my own wedding dress. Maybe it's because I love shopping and I'm used to the process of finding specific things for specific occasions? But the thing is, wedding dresses are SO STRUCTURED, it's completely different than anything we normally wear. You really have to see them on your body, and it takes a while to even get a sense of what's actually good and what just *seems* ~amazing~ because you've never worn anything like that before. And good god, there are SO MANY WEDDING DRESSES OUT THERE. 100 dresses is not "running out of options," it's barely scratching the surface 😂 I went to five or six shops, so tried around 60 dresses, and I never once felt confused. I had to at least TRY all the silhouettes and the things I was pretty sure I'd hate, just to see. I felt happy to see all the beautiful options, and happy to eliminate things that I did in fact hate. And once I found the one that made me cry, I bought it. Simple. It was a lot like the ones I'd been looking at online for years, but now I could be sure.
@justjaein2 жыл бұрын
I mean sure I definitely don’t think buying a wedding dress is one and done, but also you can’t say over 100 dresses is barely scratching the surface. Thats way more than the average bride would even consider looking at, and honestly it creates what’s known as “analysis paralysis,” where you can’t make a decision simply because of how many options there are.
@suepost90262 жыл бұрын
I litterly picked out my wedding dress in less then 15 minutes. I went to a small private shop where I live. There was a whole rack of dresses. I just starting going through them one by one. I saw it, and that was it. I'm still that way today. When I see something I like then that's it. To me it's so easy. I loved my wedding dress. It looked great. It was in 1975 so of course styles have changed, and there are many more options now. But you know your style. So when you see it, buy it.

OMG I can’t stand brides like this. So many dresses and so indecisive, anxious and over crytical about everything. I guarantee you that if her family/friends and the sales rep didn’t push her to get this one she would’ve walked out of there with nothing. I love reality TV bridal shows but I think that a sets unrealistic expectation of what you’re supposed to “feel“ when trying on the perfect dress. It doesn’t take 100 dresses. I’m sure her family and friends are glad she got it over with. 😂

So among all the dresses she tried on, she ended up with this feathery busy thing? It does nothing for her figure. The dresses she tried previously were more flattering on top but needed a different bottom.. Just my opinion 🤷♀️

the first dress was the winner for me ... sleek ... not fluffy! HONESTLY ... she was jessica rabbit in it ... a simple ... yet intelligent, sophisticated, fashionista princess ... should have accessoried this simple dress with flawless makeup ... bling (necklace, crown, bracelets, the whole thing) ... a decandent long veil ... a super-coiffed up-do of some sorts ... lots of curls and embellishments ... her slimmed down athletic body is perfect in a simple dress ... made a queen by other accessories ... third dress ... WRONG!!!

I would feel so uncomfortable asking my friends to come dress shopping more then once or twice. The nerve.

The dress with black element was one of the ugliest dresses I’ve ever seen. My friend chose something similar herself and I was screaming internaly through the whole ceremony. Two other friends last year looked like they wraped themselves in my grandma’s old curtains and called it a day. Another friend is geting married in few months and her dress is beautiful, not my personal style but perfect for her and univeraly stunning so that will be a nice change

I think the shape is pretty and I like the lace on top with plainer bottom. But I hate pick ups. So, to each her own.
